Currently in love with this camera lens. I am a beginner so didn't want to break the bank getting something I have no idea how to use. Over all the quality of the photos have been great and it's been easy to use. It is on the smaller side so it made it easy to travel with as well. I am only getting pictures of my pets, food, and us traveling so it has been great for this. Autofocus and speed have worked for these purposes. Zoom is decent but got the job done for what we are using it for. If you are looking for something for far away photography consider different lens.

Just received, but this is the lens I need to cover things like weddings snd class reunions. Smooth zoom, small, lightweight.

I bought an A6400 body from the local big box electronic shop because I had an A6000 with other Sony Lenses. While the A6000 was silver, the OEM lens was also silver, and didn't match my black A6400. I purchased the Sony SELP1650 16-50mm OSS Lens: Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens (Black) online separately because this was going to be a better value purchasing separate than the bundle offered at the big box electronic store. This version is no different than the OEM, and came in the actual lens box. I thought it would be bulk packed like some other lenses I've purchased. It works well for the basic compact lens, and even though the widest aperture is only 3.5 at 16mm, it fits the bill for most basic casual shooting. It also travels well because it's not so long too!

Dropped my Sony a6000 and lense would not focus/ attach. This replacement lense works perfect with no problems and was the most affordable option I could find. Great quality and value . Image is clear , zoom works as expected. No issues & would recommend.

I let my sister use my camera when she was in Morocco and she got sand stuck in it so it was unusable. I had purchased a cheap alternative to replace but it didn’t compare and I missed how easy these lens are to use. So I just stuck it out and repurchased the actual lens it came with. These are exactly what my camera came with. No issues with remounting. I appreciated the extra stuff it came with as I had lost my original lens cap. All in all, happy with my purchase.

About 3 years ago I purchased the Sony A6000 camera kit that included this lens. Within the last year that lens was loosing communication with the camera body. Researching the fault, I discovered that the fault seems to be a common fault. Because it was more than a year after purchase (Out of Warranty), Sony wouldn't offer any help other than have it repaired at a Sony repair center at a cost around $160. I contacted the seller here with a couple questions, as a result I purchased this lens. So far the lens is working perfectly. Only time will tell if this lens will exhibit the same issue down the road. I like the lens a lot for indoor photos dealing with family functions and alike. I have had good luck with outdoor photos as well. I have seen some negative reviews about this lens, but I can't confirm the issue of the reviewers. Remember that this isn't a high end equivalent lens costing 7 times the price. It is a good all around lens for everyday photos. Oh yes.... It doesn't have the one year Sony Warranty but the seller sells it with their one year warranty.

I should have listened to the MANY terrible reviews of this lense/ seller. It arrived laying loosely in a box. No bubble wrap, just a thin plastic. The lens like authentic, but it's covered in small knicks and scratches and DEFINITELY isn't new. Not too sure about the normal functionality, because it gives an error when the camera is turned on and will not allow you to take pictures. Honestly, it seems like I was sent someone else's warranty return. I have started a return with Amazon and will not be ordering from this seller again.

Like most people say, the lens does NOT come with the emount cover, it just comes bubble wrapped in non-official packaging. Annoying mostly because I was able to use a cover from another lens on it whenever I take it off, but all you can do is request to return it, they won't send you the cover separately. I like the lens for vlogging -- it goes wide without creating too much of a fish eye and can zoom in quite a bit for being so small and portable, which is really what I enjoy. Most zoom lenses are just way too big. It does make a loud noise when zooming in and out, just so you know!!
