I was used to the old am or fm radios . What a difference. No losing my planes now due to someone being on the channel I am on . Also I only need this one transmitter as you can program it for multiple planes . I am retired and on a budget so I waited for the Black Friday specials to buy and saved $50 plus free Amazon shipping . Great deal !

This transmitter is very easy to program, lots and lots of functions. Lightweight, fits nice in the hands, wish the gimbles were a little closer to the sides, folks with small hands/fingers might have an issue. They could also make the gimbles more adjustable as they don't adjust shorter very much. VERY IMPORTANT--If you need to use the SD card slot for updating firmware or saving model info you MUST use a Sandisk SD card as other brands won't work. Took me a weak emailing tech support and looking online to figure that out. Can't understand why they sell this thing with AA batteries as they do not last long at all. Don't hesitate to buy the rechargeable battery and charger. Can't really go wrong with this transmitter given the price.

Great transmitter. I had to return it and step up to the 8 due to I would have to sacrifice a few switches on my simulator and not get the full use on some of the models I fly. Otherwise fantastic radio that covers bout everything you need

Easy to program, works great for my rc helicopters.

When I got the thing after, reading all the instructions and some research online, I was finally able to load one plane, a small foamy that only used one servo for both ailerons. The next plane I tried to load had two servos for the ailerons, and when I turned on the power the left ail maxed out in the down position. After removing the arm from the servo, I found that when I hit the reversed switch, in settings, the servo would max out like I had it was plugged into the landing gear plug, but it was plugged into aux1 same as my old transmitter. Maybe there was just some switch reversed I don't know. About that time this message started popping up when I tried to turn the transmitter off that said go to the spektrum web site to download updates. After signing up the site directed me to another section for registration and downloads, but I had to log in again, but when I did all, I got was a message saying they could not log me in and try again later. I tried for two days, nothing. Then I thought I'll try customer support. Tried to talk to someone. But they did NOT want to talk to me! Sending the transmitter back to amazon. Also, I found out that the transmitter is too old for updates! Bought it last week and it's obsolete!

I purchased the DX6e on the recommendation of others. Accordingly I knew what I was getting. Spektrum quality appears high and supporting documentation is good. On initial testing everything works. Unit was packaged well and delivery was fast. I’m looking forward to using it just as soon as the weather warms up.
