KidKraft Waterfall Mountain Wooden Train Set & Table with 120 Pieces, 3 Storage Bins

Wonderful gift for my 3-year-old grandson. He plays with it constantly. Hours of enjoyment. I am pleased with the quality and construction as my grandson has crawled across it several times. Also pleased with how easy it was to assemble. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

Many of the reviews listed under this item have got to be for the wrong set. So many of them clearly don't apply to it. This does come in natural, not honey as one reviewer stated. It is very sturdy and screws together with very long, very fat screws that screw into a metal cap to keep them in place. The screws even have the outside 1/3 painted the same color as the table to make them blend in nicely. All the edges are nicely rounded. At first I was put off by the three cheesy looking plastic bins that came with the table. I had specifically emailed the seller and asked if it came with the trundle drawers and was told yes. I was expecting the large wooden drawers. However, these plastic bins hang on rods under the table, keeping them off the floor and out of the way. They also leave enough room for my son's wooden Thomas train caddy under the table as well. I've decided they are better than the wood drawers, although I wouldn't have chosen them. The train set is really amazing and more than I expected. It is much higher quality than the Melissa & Doug set I purchased. It put together easily and the elevated bits are well-designed to keep the tracks together instead of falling apart like the M&D and Thomas ones do. The supports for the elevated track keep the tracks together, and the bridges have a small platform at their edges to hold the adjacent track up. The elevations are really smooth--my son loves giving the train a push and having it roll down the elevation and a bit more on the flat track. My two issues with the tracks are: 1) It doesn't match the printed landscape on the table. I found it impossible to not have tracks going into water and over the road. I also couldn't get the road crossing piece to match up with the road. I wound up turning over the boards and using the plain side instead. 2) The waterfall bottom tunnel opening doesn't line up well with the track. Thomas trains are too big to go through this tunnel without getting stuck because the track is too close to the left edge of the tunnel on one side and the right edge on the other side. I'm considering gluing something to the bottom of the waterfall to raise it a bit and give more room for the trains. In the set's defense, the included trains are significantly smaller than Thomas trains and probably fit through without a problem. The top tunnel in the waterfall works perfectly with Thomas trains. The variety of extra pieces is mind-boggling. You get cars, trucks, a steam-roller, an airport with helipad, a helicopter, an airplane, a runway, a crane with girders that can be hooked and un-hooked, one-dimensional police station, fire station and hospital, a boat, trees, people and lots of signs. I know I'm reviewing the right product because I bought it from this very page. Be wary of reviews saying this isn't sturdy or has available wooden trundle drawers as they are the wrong product.

I originally purchased this as a 2 year old’s birthday present, and I was so impressed by the quality that I just had to purchase another one for my 20 month old! He is absolutely obsessed! I like that I can pick and choose which small items to have out on the table so that I’m controlling how much stuff is getting thrown onto the floor 😂. It took about 1.5 hours to assemble both the table and lay out all of the tracks following an instruction manual that was pretty user friendly. The quality of the materials is actually well worth the price, and I like that I can place my legs and feet under the table to get closer to the middle of the tracks. I noticed that some other train table options don’t have large enough openings on the sides of the table. The tracks do come off the table pretty easily with toddler tantrums, but I tried taping them down with painter’s tape and that has worked really well so far! It did not come with a battery operated train set, so I did purchase that separately and was pleasantly surprised that the battery operated train worked on the tracks. I’ve been able to enjoy full meals and hot coffee while the toddler obsessed over his new choo-choos! BUY THIS FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

My kids, ages 2, 4, and 6, play with this train table almost daily. It was larger in person than what I anticipated from the photos I'd seen online. I was actually shocked to see how big it is but that's on me for not getting out a measuring tape to see how much space it was actually going to take up. But really, this is a huge train table so make sure you have the space for it. Also, it has so many fun pieces. In fact, there are so many pieces/options that it's almost overwhelming. We often choose a rotation of a variety of the accessory pieces to put away so that it looks less messy on top and it's less overwhelming to the kids. Also, this product is nice, but less quality than I expected. Despite all of that we love this product. If I could buy another train table, I would have bought something smaller but am not sending this one back as it would be so much work to disassemble and return/buy new.

We purchased this train table for our three-year-old son for Christmas because, like all little boys, he loves trains and cars. We searched on here for something he could use for a long time and thought this would be worth purchasing since he's a very busy boy and there are quite a few activities to do with this table alone. When he opened this table set and my husband started putting it together, our son could barely contain his excitement! He absolutely couldn't wait to get his little hands on this set and it's a good thing my husband is very handy and was able to put the table and all of the little pieces and structures together within a couple hours so our son could start playing with it right away. This set comes with a lot of pieces and I've included a couple pictures of the table so you can see what it looks like. The table itself measures 48 3/4" by 32 1/2" by 15" and is made out of sturdy wood. The board included is two pieces and has colorful pictures of grass, rocks, roads, and water. It comes with a lot of wooden track pieces and some are arched so the track isn't just flat. This set also comes with a helipad, helicopter, small airport runway that consists of four puzzle pieces, a plane, a plastic mountain with a waterfall, a bridge, a turntable that really works, a crane, and small wooden pieces made to look like a hospital, police station, fire station, and gas station. The hospital, police station, fire station, and gas station are small pieces of wood painted to look like the buildings rather than actual three-dimensional buildings. This set also comes with little wooden people, wooden trees, street signs, a boat, and a couple cars and trains. It does not come with many trains though so you will probably want to purchase some. We bought Orbrium Toys 12 Pcs Wooden Engines & Train Cars Collection Compatible with Thomas Wooden Railway, Brio, Chuggington which work perfectly with this set. We also have a number of the Thomas and Friends wooden trains such as Fisher-Price Thomas the Train Wooden Railway Thomas and Fisher-Price Thomas the Train Wooden Railway James Engine which are compatible with the wooden tracks in this set. We've also purchased some of the trains from local stores that cost a couple dollars each and they work with this set. There are also wooden beams you put underneath the table that hold three plastic bins for storing all of these pieces. We have had this set for almost five months now and my son continues to use it every day. It's one of his favorite toys and it has been such a good investment for us! Even his twin sister uses it and it's a lot of fun to watch them play together with it (when they are actually getting along which is rare). My kids are both about 37 inches tall and this table is a great size for them. They can stand or sit and use it. As they get taller, they can either sit on the floor or pull up chairs to use the table. I've even sat down on the floor and played with the table with them so kids of all ages can definitely benefit from this table set. The only issue I've come across is that sometimes the tracks and roads don't match up nicely. For instance, because of the way the track pieces are shaped they run across the roads and there aren't a lot of configurations but, for the most part, the tracks work nicely with the pictures on the board. My twins don't really care at this point but they may in the future and perhaps we can remove pieces of the track so it looks a bit more realistic. It works great for us right now and as long as our kids are happy, we are happy! If you have a little one who loves trains and cars, this table set will provide them HOURS of entertainment (plus it will give you a few minutes of peace and quiet, or at least no screaming)! My kids love this set and I'm glad they are able to both enjoy it. I know they will use it for years to come which is good considering the price. It is a more expensive toy but it has been extremely well-worth it for us and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It has a lot of pieces but was fairly easy to put together and is still standing strong even after my three-year-old twins' daily playing, which is saying something! If anything happens that changes my opinion of this product, I will update this review. I highly recommend this table set for young children because it will keep them so busy and even adults will have fun playing with their kids with it!

This is a very fair value for the price. My 3 1/2 son loves it. Nice quality product, and went together easily.

This is exactly what I wanted for my three year old!! We bought a similar train from another brand and was so let down. The price point was the same but it was flimsy and my toddler wasn’t able to play with it without it constantly falling apart. I returned it and got this one and am SO happy with it! The fact that it comes with a table is a HUGE HUGE bonus too. The set is sturdy, beautiful, and toddler friendly. Highly recommend it!

Shipment arrived fine. We assembled as per instructions. This unit was to be adaptable to Thomas the Train vehicles but it is not! Our Thomas the Train Battery Operated Vehicles would not work. Small vehicles provided work fine, but not Thomas and Friends. They fall off the track, get stuck in tunnel, cannot make switch etc. Tracks don't totally mesh...and the eye can see that there are spaces and alignment issues. Called KidKraft and expressed the issue. Asked what they might do to assist...perhaps providing another set of tracks might be the solution. No, we were told to either use a fun tack to adhere gaps or purchase set or sets of Sure Track to keep the tracks aligned. Tried the fun tack...did not work. Am not about to spend another 20 to 30 dollars for the Sure Track as we believe the tracks themselves are the biggest part of the issue. We then addressed returning train table to the seller. We had to find another box to fit the unit etc. as the box it arrived in was no longer usable. Went to Amazon to get the process rolling... Seller's return stipulations: 30 percent restocking fee If assembled, not returnable Shipping on us! We additionally contacted the seller. Their response was that if we did not have the shipping box, they could not accept a return. Now, who purchases such an item that is packed tightly, is heavy and has to be removed...and is able to save the box intact???? Contacted KidKraft again via e mail this time and after a few back and forth e mails, was able to secure without charge those connecting pieces i.e. turns and switches. Arrived in a few days...thank you KidKraft. Table now functions quite a bit better. However, in the end...should have purchased the Imaginarium table...far superior in all regards...despite a higher cost. BTW...table top is basically coated paper...so be diligent about not letting liquids or leaky cups rest for even a short time. Update: still being used but now for race cars. The bins on bottom are great but the tracks they slide on have become stripped. Bins now on floor under table. Basic table holding up well.

Barnen älskar leka med Brio tåg och lekbordet är jättebra på yta, ger bra utrymme till tågbana samt olika sätt att bygga tågbana på. Enkel att montera upp och stabil, stark konstruktion. Enda problem vi hade var att tyda Brio tågbana ritning som felar montering i berg tunneln för man kan inte se vilka tågräls ska gå igenom, men till sist vi löste det. Ok so is this the best train set money can buy? No. It's cheap. Cheap as in value... Not in quality. If you've ever used a kids train set, none of them stay on the tracks. I'm impressed with the amount of things for the kids to play with for the price point. The bins don't easily come in and out ... But who cares.. they are a bonus and don't even need to be included. Thanks for the extra storage bins.. I bet without them you'd buy it anyway. If you want to glue all the track together... Do it.. if you don't... Don't. It's a cheap train set with tons of fun for kids to play with... Go buy a more expensive kit if you want better. I had to glue the waterfall because it snapped but once again... Who cares. The kids don't.
