A 'must' for all coffee fans!!!!!
The main advantage of this company is that they ONLY produce small batches of their coffee roasts. I ordered some of their excellent Ethiopian Djimmah beans to expand my range of coffee tastes. Ethiopian Djimmah beans are a light roast and have hints of berries and cloves. The flavour is well rounded and rather moreish. I'm definitely going to be buying some more of this roast!!

SUCH A SHAME - OVER ROASTED RUINED YIRGACHEFFE
This is my 2nd bag of YIRGACHEFFE from this roaster - I was delighted with the first it was everything good the YIRGACHEFFE can be - light, bright with acidity and floral. Unfortunately this bag is over roasted, two weeks old (doesn't sound much but it's 1/4 of it's freshness lifespan according to the bag). The PRODUCT DETAILS say this is a light roast but the tasting notes say medium roast. To me this looks to be medium to dark, it is darker than my daily use red Italian bend and that is supposed to be a medium roast. I have tried different:- Weights of coffee and water Brew times And methods from machine to manual machine, v60, aero, french press and even mocha (even though I would not expect mocha to work but I was trying desperately) No matter what I did I was unable to get that light, bright floral taste I so love but instead ended up with a muddy bitter mess, no acidity and a burnt smell.

I love coffee
Highly recommended. Truly amazing coffee and worth every penny, with a great flavour and beautiful aroma. I use these beans in a bean-to-cup machine with very good results. I drink milk-based and just plain black coffee at home and can drink cup after cup of this stuff, very smooth and not bitter at all. Will be reordering them again, Iโm so happy that I found my favourite coffee.

Light roast? Ethiopian?
It's a medium roast, maybe even medium to dark roast, and not light roast. It doesn't taste like an Ethiopian coffee and tastes bad. I wouldn't be surprised if they've repackaged left over beans or different beans. About the only thing going for it is that it's cheap but then you could buy better tasting coffee for the same price anyway.
