Dorman 911-032 Vapor Canister Purge Valve Compatible with Select Models

The part was easy to install. Looks to be a quality part. To get the old one off you just need to press the metal tab on the middle of the bracket away from the part then it slides off easily. The clips you just press in and pull on the connectors. Took about 10 minutes. Cannot speak to the longevity of it since we just put it on, but the car seems to run slightly better at idle. The old one wasn't fully closing. No check engine light. Replaced it just to be sure. Sometimes these can cause a no start condition when they go bad or a rough start. To check if yours is bad just remove the top connector on it, start the car when it is cold, and should not be sucking any air. If it is sucking air when you start it then it's bad. Let it run several minutes if you do not feel any suction and then it should open up and you should feel a decently strong suction. If it never opens up then it's bad. If it does open up then it's good. If the car is trying to start and fires up but immediately dies then you can put your finger over the hole on top and have someone try to start the car. If it starts and runs with your finger over the hole then you know it is bad. If it still doesn't start this probably isn't the problem. These tend to get clogged up over time with carbon and can get stuck open or closed when they fail. They can also not open or close all the way and that is going to lead to rough starts or poor running conditions.

Works perfect on a 2007 Hummer H3

My 13 Chevy HD with gas cap light Everytime tank filled. No check engine code. So, I asked Google and suggested to replace purge valve,which I did and do far,no issues. I'm a girl and did it myself. Easy fix!

Only worked for about 2 months. Got lucky and it decided to give out 3 days before my return window closed. The valve got stuck open so after fill up my truck had a no start condition until the fuel vapors that were allowed into my engine evaporated. It wasn’t very fun sitting at the gas station for 15-20 mins waiting for the truck to be able to start again.

This part is identical to the manufacturers original and was super easy to install and fixed my evap leak right away.

Other than AC Delco, I love Dorman parts!

My 2005 Saturn Ion 2.2L would continue run for a short period of time (a.k.a. dieseling) after turning off the key which is surprising for a car with fuel injectors. Replacing this valve fixed the run-on and also the problem that the car was very difficult to start after filling the tank.
