Will this ribbon fit my Remington typewriter?

Yes, for old or antique Remingtons that take the standard spindle. Push the star-shaped core out with a pen to fit the large spindle on some portables. Spools should sit level. Not sure? Message us and we will check the fit.

My Remington has 1 1/2 inch spools — will it work?

Not as a drop-in. This ribbon is on 2 inch spools, so a Remington built for the small 1 1/2 inch spool cannot take it directly. You would need to rewind it onto your smaller spools. Rather not rewind? Message us and we will help.

Will it fit my Remington Model 5?

Only with a rewind. The Model 5 needs the ribbon wound onto its own old spool, so keep your Model 5 spool and transfer this ribbon onto it. Wound onto that spool, it types the way it should.

Is this a genuine Remington ribbon? What colors?

This is FJA Products brand — our own brand. It is the replacement version of the original Remington ribbon (Amazon Part # B07T8QCDS1), made by us to fit the old Remington typewriters. This listing is black and red two-color ribbon only.
