What is the time duration for the resin to set? And are you able to clean the nozzles in rder to reuse?

It takes around 30 minutes to set... not sure about cleaning the nozzles; 1- The resin is very sticky and with in 20 minutes it starts to dry. 2- Each bottle cames with a nozzle anyway. Note: these nozzles have a special fit which means you need to get the gun too, the conventional gun for the normal silicone won't work. Hope this helps.

Once the steel and resin is in place and set, do you still need to repoint with mortar on top to finish the joint?

If you are stitching a broken wall, you have to take out the old mortar about 3cm, clean the debris and give it a gentle hose down. squeeze out some resin along the length make sure there's 50cm of the rod on either side of the crack. Place the rod along the length and push it in with some implement. Apply some more resin in front of the rod along the entire length.....leave about 15cm clearance in front of the rod. When the resin is fully cured finish off the job with colour matched mortar. (Disclaimer applies I am just a DIYer like yourself)

Does 3 resin, 5 bar kit contain gun

This kit has no gun but you can get one from ffx.com.

Does anyone know how many bars the 3 bottles of resin will do ? We need to put 15 bars in accross several areas. Thank you

The 3 bottles are barely enough for the bars supplied particularly if you intend to bed bars and seal on top ,but very strong and effective compound

Does a Great Job

The metre-long helical bars are well made, strong and flexible and the the resin is easy to apply (although NB you must have the correct applicator 'gun' for the size/shape). The resin sets quickly, so get everything ready and prepared completely in advance, and is very adhesive, so make sure you protect any surfaces you don't want to get any resin on. Very good VFM.

Easy to use

Used this to stitch three travelling cracks in interior block walls. Can't advise of how effective it is as its only just been applied but I can confirm that its easy to use, mixes well, adheres to the substrate and sets rock solid. I am confident that it is fit for purpose. Update: 2 years later, repairs holding well, no crack recurrence or other signs of movement. REALLY impressed, saved me a small fortune in crack filler and (no doubt) an expensive builders bill 👍

Easy product to install with the right equipment

This is the cheapest supplier that I could find for this system. Rods are high quality and resin easy to apply with right gun.(You cannot apply with a conventional mastic gun) All in all a great product a a great price.

Great but nozzles damaged and unusable

This product is great and delivery was nice and fast. Check all nozzles first though as two of mine were split which meant that the epoxy falls out the side. I ended up having to just use one nozzle but they are single use as this stuff dries rock hard in minutes. Could you please send me two replacement nozzles so I can use the rest of the resin please?

Double check what you're really buying

I didn't receive the resin shown in the details, plus was overcharged for what was supplied. Items were returned. I have previously used this kit successfully to repair a garden wall so wasn't happy with the change of resin.
