Gleim Private Pilot FAA Knowledge Test 2020 Paperback – June 1, 2019

This book is fantastic. Memorizing the answers is of course, not the point. What I loved is that it’s one more way to drill yourself on all the important concepts and you’re seeing it in a way that it will be asked on the exam. This was a massive part of me passing my written test!

After going through ground school at a local college I used this book to review as much as I could. Got a 90% on the exam. Again note this is to help review and refresh, would be hard to learn from it

I'm almost through every page. They claim to have all the known FAA test questions, with a brief discussion of all the facts you need to know for them in front of each section - this is great; you only have to read a short section that is exactly tailored to the test questions. Some of the FAA test questions are flawed or tricky. Usually the book explains these well, sometimes they don't. Usually they explain why the right answer is right, and why the wrong answer is wrong or why you might have been mislead, but sometimes not. Occasionally annoying when they unnecessarily repeat themselves when there is only one explanation. "A is correct because of [these facts]. B is wrong because A is correct because of [these facts]. C is wrong because A is correct...." Just say it once. (but it's mostly much better than that)

An excellent tool to prep for the written, and after you've taken the written, it has a guide to help you with questions you missed by decoding them and giving example problems. That way you're prepared for the oral
