My antenna was up for about 2 years for local stations for 1 T.V. out of 4 in my house. On the three other T.V.s we had cable for about $120.00 a month and out of 175 channels we watched maybe 10. Dropped cable, picked up streaming with Amazon fire, added antenna to the other three and broke the one connection. Nobody in Omaha handled a replacement part so I went to Amazon, found it at Steren and now everything works very well. Thank you Steren and Amazon.

Good, seems to be of a thicker gauge than other matching transformers on Amazon
Seems like heavier duty construction than other matching transformers available here. This is is good if you need to strip off the lugs on the end and use the wire to go directly into the antenna inputs on the back of a radio. With another brand on Amazon i stripped off the lugs, stripped away the insulation to find like five very fine strands of copper. Not so with this matching transformer it seems to be of a heavier gauge.

Works, but fragile for outdoors
Worked, but easily pulled from antenna connection, thus breaking the 2 leads. The 300 ohm connector wire is the fragile multi-strand type used with interior connections. While it seemed to hold up with weather, it quickly came off when 'hit' by a passing person who accidently hit the cable.

With Good Advice, Perfect Reception.
I bought this transformer to hook up a DVD player to an old TV via coax into an RF modulator. I set it up by connecting one of the ends into the VHF and one into the UHF.If you are using this application either through a DVD or VCR or even streaming Netflix onto an old TV (which, by the way is possilbe), you only need channel 3 or 4. That being the case, it was better for me to hook up both wires of this adapter to each of the two VHF slots on the back of the TV.A VHF/UHF hookup will not only work, but you will get pretty good reception. However, with both wires going to VHF, the reception will be absolutely perfect as long as your TV is good. I was thankful for the advice that someone gave me, because it was contrary to some of the stuff I was reading. As for this particular transformer, it is perfect. I suppose that they are all good. This one is cheap, plus if you have Amazon Prime, you will get free shipping. This is a very cheap and useful connector if you are into older TV's.Another note: if you are getting interference, it could be something like a cell phone close by.

Great price and it worked perfectly immediately after I hooked it up to the 2 terminals on the antenna. This actually took me a minute to figure out where it goes but its quite simple. There are 2 terminals on the bottom of the antenna with 2 wing nuts. Just loosen them and hook it up and voila you are done.

while twisting the cable on, the inside piece twisted and it fell apart. The electronics were fine, but they should have glued the female cable end or something. No way to tighten without taking apart and gluing. I just ordered a different one.

Unit not all it cracked up to be.
The unit is not really an outdoor unit although it is described as such. The boot does not look as if it would be waterproof and would require some sort of sealent to be used to prevent any corrosion, so be prepared with this before you climb to the top of your mast to install this unit. The other problem is the terminals, these do not look as if they are corrosion proof. I would suggest that you cut the terminals off completely and use the copper wire to terminate on your antenna. Alternatively terminate with some kind of corrosion proof plated terminals. So if you are armed with some waterproof sealant and some corrosion proof terminals this unit may be for you! I have bought three on the units but it is not worth me returning them. The postage for the three units was more than the units were worth in the first place. Unfortunately you cannot buy these units in the UK.

OUTDOOR 75-300-OHM Matching Transformers with Weather Boot
These outdoor 75 to 300-OHM Matching Transformers with Weather Boot. I put one of these Transformers on my Antenna, my Antenna is 90 feet high. The Transformer ends are open. So I CHANGED THE ENDS TO A CLOSED END. SO IF THE NUT WOULD COME LOOSE, The wire would not slip off. The Manufacture has open end wires. ( I WOULD OF LIKE THE ENDS CLOSED INSTEAT OF OPEN, BECAUSE, IF YOU DONT LIK THEM CLOSED, YOU COULD CUT A PEACE OF THE PRONG OUT.. These Transformers have a Boot wear the connection screws on, and the Boot screws on very tight, and that is great. So no weather can get into your connections. I RECOMMEND THESE STEREO OUTDOOR TRANSFORMERS. Jim in Ohio.
