Checked with a wattmeter, startup about 350 and running was around 50 watts.

My under the counter opening is 33" H and 22" W - will this fit?

Yes it will fit...Dimensions are H-32 1/2in W-18 3/4in L-19 1/2inI highly recommend this fridge. it is very quiet and energy saver and it looks pretty cool and it is very sturdy.

Is it frost free or do you have to defrost it every couple of days?

This is not frost free. You can defrost every couple of weeks.
