Electric Vegetable Slicer Shredder Salad Maker for Kitchen, 150W 5 Cones

The first thing I sliced when I got the machine was some white potatoes, carrots, and sweet potato. I find the feed tube to be a little small so you still have to cut everything so it will not only fit in the feed tube, but not clog it by getting wedged in there. Once I got the size of the vegetables right it really made fast work of slicing everything up. I found I needed a two handed approach. One hand held the pusher firmly down, while the other held the ON button. The button has to be held constantly or it turns off -- but that does not seem to be a real problem and makes it much easier to control, too. Sometimes I had to push hard to get the food in contact with the blade (I may not have gotten the size of the veg right), and thought the blade dragged a little if I pushed really hard, but it got through everything fine. Even though everything was small in diameter all the slices piled up nicely in my steamer pan, and I was able to season and steam them into a wonderful dish. (I made it again in a couple of days.) The look reminded me of potatoes au graten that my mother used to make. I don't grate cheese anymore since becoming a vegan, but I know this little gadget will make very fast work of grating cheese. (I had a similar machine in the past.) This one seems heavy and sturdy, so does not need suction cup feet. It stays where put when using. I like it and I would recommend it.

We bought this mainly for shredding blocks of cheese. It works so well and so fast. We love it!

It does great for what I usually use it for: Shredding cheese (which I do a lot). Making bread crumbs. (Can’t find gf bread crumbs that i like). It’s a lot like using my large food processor but less bulky, easier to clean and I think it works better for some things although the motor isn’t as powerful as the food processor. I wouldn’t recommend for finely grating Parmesan or chopping nuts. It strains the motor but i prefer shredded Parmesan anyhow and it works fine for that. It also doesn’t work real well for some veggies like celery. I’ve had mixed experiences with things like carrots and cabbage.

I love this, easy to assemble and rare apart for cleaning. Does vegetables and cheese. You can have a bowl or cheese or shredded vegetables in no time at all. Price was even better.

It arrived defective and was bought as a birthday gift. So of course it was opened AFTER the return window.

I've used the ~$1 Mouli rotary grater for more than half a century, and have found the presto salad shooter to be worth the extra cost. I had hoped the Homdox would address the salad shooters big weakness: fragile rotary toolhead plastic. And... It does! The rotary toolhead angle is steeper than that of the salad shooter, and it looks to be a tougher plastic. Unfortunately, product suffers from a fragile toolhead retention clip. The retention clip on my unit broke in the first month of use. It is removable, so maybe a spare would be a good thing to add to the product as sold.

It’s a great addition to the kitchen, well made and grates, shreds, and slices in no time. I’m very pleased with the purchase.

Lo compré hace un mes y lo he utilizado unicamente para rayar zanahoria. La ultima vez empezó a salir un olor a quemado. Aunque todavía trabaja creo que pronto dejará de funcionar. Como reclamar garantía si me indica que el período de devoluciones ya venció?
