So, I agree that these don't work well to cover up 'back fat'. They do cinch my stomach but fall just a little below the bra area. I don't really have that problem so this doesn't bother me. For smoothing out my chunky legs under thin dress pants, however, they work wonderfully! I've tried 3 other shapers in the past, all that sit in the back of my closet because they make me feel suffocated and end up giving me a stomach ache. I finally decided to pay a little extra and try the hyped up Spanx. I don't know how, but they suck me in without making my stomach hurt. I honestly forget they're even on after a while, even while sitting they never make me feel squished. I hate that they're so expensive, of course, but apparently you get what you pay for.

These are great. I wear scrubs that are of a lightweight fabric and sometimes you can see every bump and ripple through them. These keep everything nice and smooth. Love them. If you buy the right size, it's a great fit. I love mine.

I've been wearing these for years. The new high price is ridiculous! I'm buying other brands now. Spanx rips easy and is not worth $38. They were $26. They lost my business. Waste of money!

These footless pantyhose from SPANX are just as you would expect. The fit is as described. I ordered B, after checking out their sizing chart and it fits perfectly. I am 5' 5" and weigh 125 lbs. They have the panty inside so you can wear them under slacks or jeans for a no pantyline look. The only reason I rated these 4 instead of a 5 is because they still have that tight waist which ALL do no matter who is the manufacturer. Someday, maybe someone will come up with a way to have a tight slimming hip, butt and leg item, but with a more comfortable waist band. Other than that, though, it's pretty close to perfect. I used another brand for a long time which was less expensive, but kept getting runs pretty frequently. These are thicker and I expect will last longer.

My nail went through them immediately, and there is a full length run down the darn things. I barely got one leg partially in. They did the job, but I wasn't expecting them to be so thin and delicate. Also, seller sent the footed version, not the one pictured and I had to make it work as I didn't have time to return.

I really like this body shaper. I used to wear them when they were called Assets. As you get older, you may want to order one size up from what it says you should get. They run a little small. The size chart is a little off, I think.
