Works very well, much better than the integrated antenna on many GPS boards.

I bought this product on whim, in hopes to replace the defective speedometer antenna that ELING sold me after they offered me no refund on the damaged part, expected me to buy another one for $18.99 + $18.00 shipping, and the fastest they could have it shipped to me would be sometime in mid/late September (2 months from now). When I saw BingFu's product for $9 with free next day shipping, I thought, why not? Not only did the product work, but it was half the size, twice as easy to install (because it has a magnetic backside, which is very strong btw), and got a gps signal within seconds of start up. If your in need of a gps antenna, and this one is compatible with ur device, then look no further... This is the one to get.

Antenna works great

I bought this to see if it would be better than the antenna that came with my Joying radio. With the original antenna mounted under the dash, it had a hard time either getting reception or keeping it, even just driving on a tree-covered road. It was unusable. This Bingfu antenna does a better job of getting and keeping the reception when mounted in the same location. Depending on how long the radio has been off, it can get reception from 1-3 minutes from starting the radio (minimal obstruction). If the radio was only off for a few minutes, then it is almost immediate, as I'm assuming the GNSS almanac is still valid in this time frame. I didn't see in in other reviews, but this picked up the GLONASS signals as well, although not as strongly as the GPS signals. This has made navigation on the Joying radio useable.

No apparent defects, but considering it's low cost I would not use in a critical application. I did not sweep it for spurs or oscillations but the GPS receivers I hooked them up to were able to acquire satellites and track them in a non-jammed or spoofed environment. For hobby work they are okay.

Meine bisher benutzte GPS-Antenne war ebenfalls eine aktive Antenne mit versprochenen 25 bis 30dB Verstärkung. Sie war aber ziemlich "taub". Diese hier ist beinahe ein "Empfangswunder": Im Innenraum auf der Fensterbank empfange ich durchschnittlich 10 bis 20 Satelliten (GPS und GALILEO) und bekomme nach max. 3 Minuten einen verlässlichen 3D-Fix. Ich betreibe sie an einem originalen U-Blox NEO-M8N GPS-Modul, welches ursprünglich mit einer MCX-Buchse an einem IPEX-Pigtail ausgestattet, ich musste also umbauen auf SMA. Ich kann die Antenne vorbehaltlos empfehlen, kann aber nicht abschätzen, ob sie dauerhaft wasserdicht bleibt.
