Invaluable lesson for all
My favorite children's book. Such a great lesson about benefiting from YOUR hard work and not expecting to benefit from another's sacrifice. A great lesson for my 4 year old, but also a great gift for my 30 year old sister to remind/teach her about one of the many problems of socialism/communism.

A Sweet Lesson
This story is a classic. The book is perfect! The cover feels solid and sturdy. The pages are crisp. The binding is tight and there IS actual tape along the book's spine. The printing is vibrant and clear. A great gift!

Classic
I wanted to get my 14 month old granddaughter the same kind of books that I read to her father when he was a child and I am not disappointed. We all know these books and love them. I’ve started a collection for her of all the classics. They just don’t make them like this anymore! It’s nice to see her opening books instead of sitting in front of a TV. Great quality as always and great stories. I very highly recommend these to your children of grandchildren.

The Little Re+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++SPOILERSFOLLOW++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++SPOLERS FOLLOW+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ One day the Little Red Hen found a grain of wheat. And she went to the animals and asked: -Who will help me plant it? Not I said the duck. Not I said the said the goose. Not I said the cat. Not I said the pig. Then, I will plant it myself, and so she did. The wheat grew tall and it was time to harvest it. She went to the animals and asked: Who will help me reap it? Not I said the duck. Not I said the said the goose. Not I said the cat. Not I said the pig. Then, I will reap it myself, and so she did. Next it was time to carry the wheat to the miller to turn it into flour. She went to the animals and asked: Who will help me carry the wheat to the miller? Not I said the duck. Not I said the said the goose. Not I said the cat. Not I said the pig. Then, I will carry it to the miller myself, and so she did. She went to the animals and asked: Who will help me make the flour into dough? Not I said the duck. Not I said the said the goose. Not I said the cat. Not I said the pig. Then, I will make it into dough myself, and so she did. Soon it was time to put the dough into the oven. Who will help me bake the bread? Not I said the duck. Not I said the said the goose. Not I said the cat. Not I said the pig. Then, I will bake the dough into bread myself, and so she did. Soon the bread was ready to be taken from the oven. Who will help me eat it, asked the Little Red Hen? I will, said the duck. I will, said the goose. I will, said the cat. I will, said the pig. No, I will eat it myself, and so she did! I highly recommend this book to 3 to 5 year old budding capitalists and to Rules for Radicals types whatever their age. Gunner March, 2013

Good moral story.
The little red hen asks help from her friends and none of them help her as they are busy with their own work. She works all hard from planting a wheat seed to baking a bread. At the end of book she enjoys the treat. My kid enjoys 'Not I' the most.
