TSA-Approved Lock

I have the NANUK 935, bought to carry my camera equipment. I use the NANUK TSA Approved Lock for this case. I have traveled and carried this case with me where ever I travel and am totally impressed with this case and the locks. The locks are ingenious and durable beyond description. They are easy to use and I have no doubt that these locks would make it very hard for someone to break into my case. I am totally impressed with this product and would buy them again if needed in the future.

I ordered this lock to go with the Nanuk 935 case I purchased. The lock works great! The red silicone strap that attaches the lug to the lock though has been lost by baggage handlers. I contacted Nanuk to see about purchasing some replacements. They had me open a warranty ticket, and they sent me 3 replacements, free of charge. Unfortunately baggage handlers lost another one not 2 weeks after I got my replacements, so it goes in my backpack when I check my case in. I may have to look in to locking latches, but then I would have to carry a key around. I guess I have to pick my poison.

The lock feels solid, holds tight, is easy to reset, and perfectly fits any Nanuk case. If you own a Nanuk case, you should buy this lock. It was specifically designed by Nanuk to fit Nanuk cases, and it does so flawlessly. Some people are knocking stars off their reviews because the Nanuk lock designed to fit Nanuk cases didn’t fit their non-Nanuk case. In the spirit, I just wrote a 3-star review to my local bagel shop because they didn’t serve pizza.

This lock is great and I am so disappointed that it does not work with the Pelican Vault V700. I love the straight-bar style of the shank, however it is just millimeters too short and will not lock in place. Hopefully I can find something similar as this certainly adds a nice element of security to cases that you just can't expect with U-bolt style locks. The only negative issue I experienced with this was actually Amazon's doing - instead of packaging the product like they would ANY OTHER PURCHASE, they just slapped a label across the back rendering the directions unreadable and the return unpackaged.

Lock shank is offset to fit into Nanuk case without tilting the body. Silicone band has ball to keep it from slipping out of lock body. Top of the lock shank has indentations for the silicone to encapsulate so I doubt it would ever fall off. I prefer this to having the silicone body around the lock. Lock is solid and weighty and the shank seems like it would take some effort to cut through. This is the aesthetic choice for the case obviously other style locks with fit. Rated 4 stars because I had issues while resetting the combination. I put in the new code according to directions and made sure my numbers were in place however my last dial did not engage the proper number. For some reason it seems to have more play when selecting numbers as the other dials provide definite clicks for each number.. may be a defect? Once I found the code and corrected it the lock works as designed.

Bought this lock for my Pelican Air 1615 Case and it was a perfect fit! If you have a similar style case like the 1615 don't hesitate to buy this lock.

Grab a small square nut and it's perfect for a Milwaukee packout toolbox. The nut will make it so there's no space for a boltcutter to grip. I've used this on jobsites near a homeless camp (chained to a pillar) and so far it's thwarted everyone. I'm guessing it can also be used for gun safes but dammit Jim, I'm an electrician not a hunter.

Works well with the Namuk pistol case. I need Readers Digest version bigger numbers though!

Just the right lock for my Nanuk. Big and solid.

It does the job well of securing my pelican air cases 1615 and 1535. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a lock that is functional as well as looking good.

Habe 4 von den Schlössern für 2 Pelican Air Cases und die funktionieren einfach sehr gut. Brauchen wenig Platz am Case, haben die TSA Funktion wenn man in die USA reist und Sie geöffnet werden wollen von den Beamten. Einstellen des Codes funktioniert auch einfach.
