This AC unit performs
During this heat wave this unit has really helped us get through. Our master bed room is large and can be tricky to cool down at the end of day with the west sun beating on the windows. This Airemax was perfect. It comes with all the parts to set it up quickly and easily. Vented it right out a side window with all the included parts. Manuals detail walked us right through the process. With the remote and the programming capabilities we can adjust as needed and also program to kick on before we get home from work. Digital display is very easy to read. With this humidity ion the air lately we also like the fact that it will continue to dehumidify as needed.I would highly recommend this unit.

Ice Cold Air and great for my home office
I have no idea why warmth and thickness would apply to a room air conditioner! But I LOVE this for my home office. Since COVID 19, I’ve had to convert a spare room to an office. The spare room gets all day AZ sun and even with insulation over the windows and room darkening drapes, the room got really warm! The remote is right by my keyboard so one touch of the button will cool off the room in a jiffy. Ice cold!

What I expected based on past experience
So I bought this to replace an interestingly identical model from a different brand. The only real difference being the branding as everything else (the intent of my purchase) about it is visually and mechanically identical. That aside, the past model was labeled 10k BTU and this one 12k BTU, but I can't really tell the difference in output. Keeping in mind that it's Actually being left on full blast in an effort to cool the bulk of the house (along with a couple window ACs set identically). The room it's in doesn't get drastically cooler, but it's not Warmer either, so it's at least on par. Noise wise, it's an AC, they can get noisy, and with 100% of the hardware inside, you're getting the full db of the unit in the environment. The only real gripe I had was that the price of this vs the last one was ouch higher. I believe I spent $250~$300 for the one this replaced and ~$400 for this one, but I wanted the minimal replacement time, so getting something that appeared to be the same exact design was the best idea. I think it took more time to unbox the thing than actually swap them as things like the exhaust and drain lines (I created these for the old build) were basically snap/screw-on for a reason. I got probably 5-7 years out of the last one, so hopefully this one will last either that long or long enough for us to Finally get the central air replaced, allowing this to then take its place in the garage (making that finally cool year 'round).

Don’t buy.
All it does is blow hot air, should have read all the reviews before buying. After working very long hot days this will make your house even hotter. Since amazon considers this a big purchase item they wont accept returns until after specking with specialist, maybe? All you will do is go through the hassle of unboxing, installing, removing and repackaging hoping for shipping the thing back. And waiting for your money back. Do yourself a favor and purchase one at your local store.Adding after another unit was sent weeks later,,,,Second unit ruined my wood floor and ceiling by leaking water from units water catch. The unit did not shut off when it was full of water. I had been gone for a few days and found my lower living room couch and walls full of water from the unit running. Found a defective shutoff, didn't bother to change this one out. Just asked for money back, Amazon had no problem with the refund. I had just wished they would have looked into the product a little more before selling. Ended up making a claimed on my homeowners for the damage from. The unit.

It's great - an excellant air conditioner!
It cools wonderfully! We have it set on 69 degrees and the entire main floor of the house is feels cool (living room, dining room and kitchen), even in over 90 degree weather. It's also very quiet - much quieter than the fan we originally tried to use - which only circulated warm air. Can't wait to use the heating option in the wintertime in the unheated Florida room, and since it's portable, it'll be easy to move it to the back of the house!

Have to drain the reservoir often or buy drainage tube
Cools well, was very easy to set up, easy controls and the remote is a convenient add on, but the whole reason it's getting 3 stars and not 5 is because I have to drain the water in it every 30-40min.Now the manual does say that you would have to do this in very humid areas or hook up a (not included) drainage tube, but we live in the upper peninsula of Michigan, and while it has reached 88 this week we are NOT a humid area. We've been using this AC for 3 days and so far any time that I am home and running it I have to drain the bucket every 40 min, it stops running when it's full.Today I adjusted it so a bucket sits below the drain and I'm attaching a picture to show how much water collected in 4.5 hours, (ignore the dirt, the bucket is dirty, water runs clear out of the unit). It seems this units major flaw is a small water reservoir. It's supposed to circulate in the machine and self evaporate but that has not been my experience. I ordered the drainage tube, not arrived yet.

Coolness
We live in an older house and use window air conditioners. These A/C's do the job. We have 2 of them and we really do like them because it has heat and A/C in one unit istead of having a bunch of space heaters along with window units taking up space. We have not used the heater yet because it is summertime but I hope it is just as good.

Chillin in the desert 🏜️
Easy install, noise level not too bad. Unit has kept the space cool in triple digit heatwave in the desert 🏜️. Did not have a screen to cover the outside exhaust. Bugs get inside unit. I had to fabracate a screen cover to fit the unit. Also like two washable filters. This should come with purchase. Would recommend to others.
