Q: What are the dimensions of the mounting bracket?

9" h x 4" w. Comes out of the wall 6". Good luck!

Q: How do you adjust the recoil tension in this unit. Mine works fine until the last 5 or 7 feed. Tension just needs to be wound a little tighter

just pull it back a little, then it will rewind just fine

Q: Does the whole thing come off the wall and with you to the work?

No, the mounting bracket screws to a solid surface and the reel slips onto the bracket. You could leave the bracket behind and take the reel to the jobsite, but it won't work well since it needs that wall mount to offer resistance when unrolling the hose.

Q: Why do you have 100 ft in the top description?

Believe it to be advertising for a 100ft hose. On another page when you click on a different Dewalt reel it shows the hose only.
