This animal self-filling water bowl works great & can easily be connected to the black irrigation hosing - there is no need to buy the kit with the silver flex hose or to buy it in addition - we ended up not using that hosing at all. We then have the black irrigation hose connected to a double spigot outdoor water source with a regular hose on the 2nd spigot. The only downside to the way we've hooked ours up is you need to make sure nobody turns of the whole spigot unit (instead of the individual spigots), so we check frequently to make sure. I might end up duct taping it in the open position to prevent this.The bowl is much bigger than I expected, but it works great.

Good as a drinker for animals.

Use for my 2 labs. Easy to keep two thirsty dogs happy! Easy to mount and bottom plug makes it easy to rinse out. I do so weekly

Even with teflon tape it leaks but compared to having to make sure someone filled up the 2 gallon poultry waterer this unit wins hands down. I am not looking forward to draining the line in winter to water by hand again.

Came a little bent and beat up but other than that works as stated. Sharp around the edges too so be careful!

Using it hooked up to 55 gallon barrel for a totally chore free duck and chicken drinker. Would work for much larger animals as well. Rainwater runs off coop roof into drum which piped into this drinker keeps the critters in fresh water at all times. Pull the drain once in awhile to clean out sediment

Over the years we tried numerous water dishes for our dogs. This is the best one! The drainage hole is a must since it allows us to easily drain out the dirty water that has collected dirt and grass that our dogs leave behind. The auto refill ensures that our dogs will not run out of water on hot days.We did have to buy a hose adaptor to complete the connection to our outdoor watering hose. Sturdy, clean line and works perfectly. Mounted the automatic water bowl on the base of a column on the outside deck. Ran pex water line under deck for a clean look. Animals enjoy the constant dreads supply, no more worries during 95+ days.
