This is a great box. I used it to mount a GFCI outlet on an exterior wall with vinyl siding. Cut a hole through the siding and sheathing and unhooked a few pieces of siding. Mounted the flange by nailing it to the sheathing, taped the upper half of the flange to the sheathing to weatherproof and reworked the siding around the flange. This took some work as it is a one piece flange - I had to cut a slot in the siding to allow enough flexibility to wrestle the siding around the flange. If the install was on new work before the siding was installed, it would be easier. Good gasketing on the product, and very solid mounting points allow a great installation!

This kit is great. I used it with siding and was thrilled it came with everything I needed for a quick simple and quality install. For the price ypu can't go wrong!

These recessed exterior electrical boxes are great. I’ve installed two on stucco. I used an Avanti Pro Turbo Diamond Blade to cut out the hole in the stucco. Then I applied caulking to the foam gasket before mounting the box to the adjacent stud. These are definitely more work than a surface mount box, but they look much better. The only downside is the limited space. Try to minimize the number of wires running to the box.

Our stucco guy set this up. Electrician is doing the wiring. This just sharing some early install pictures. Hope to update as this install moves further along.

This product is working great for its intended purpose - to waterproof an outside outlet on your house. Of course the opening you have will dictate how hard the install will be. I have brick and I had to enlarge to hole to make this fit. That took some doing but a oscillating saw did great. But the unit installed and is performing well.

Although you are cutting through plywood exterior instead of mounting to it, the outlet being recessed is worth it. Other options have the box protruding 6 inches or more from exterior. Caulk with some silicone and no problems.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Super easy to install and very tight seal, Very durable. Wish they made some that were smaller for exterior lights.

Great looking and quality product!-Also is up to date with current codes in Canada, unlike other models without a gap for the wire to come threw while the lid is closed.

Finally, I can run my block heater without the plug getting all iced up during a storm.

Installed. Happy with keeping the cord and plug protected and safe.Does not protrude too much from the wall.

Really impressed with how well thought out this is.
