Can I not just buy the filters separate ? I already have a changing tool.

Checking the Etymotic web site itself today (7/20/16) you can get six filters for $15. They list the filter removal tool at $1.50. If you buy just filters they are $2.50 each. They are $2.87 here if you ignore the tool (which, to be fair, is easily replaced with any small screw.)

Why not sell filters here alone? 6 filters from etymotic themselves @ $15 costs nearly $8.00 to ship to wa on fedex!!

I concur. Etymotic’s website calculated FedEx shipping costs to my location of ~$44 for a filter order of ~$64, not reasonable. I vote for the 6-pack of filters (without the Changing Tool) to be available here on Amazon, with options for the different colored filters as they have them on their website, if they cannot provide for direct reasonable shipping costs. The shipping department at Etymotic refused to consider my request for an alternate & more reasonable shipping method, nor even explain their position.

Would these damper filters fit an older etymotic headset er-4 micropro? what is the diameter dimension of these filters, & of the er-4 micropro? thx.

While I'm not 100% sure, I do know that I had older filters that I tried using on my newer ear buds and they did not work.
