Amazingly sharp blades for a great knife!

These do exactly what I need them for. I use them for gutting anything from hogs to deer. The fact that they can gut a hog, and cut through all that hair and fat, that says all I need to know. These are very sharp and hold an edge. I can usually gut several hogs with one blade. Thin skin at least 3 of them with one blade. Remember this, a dull blade will always cut you worse than a sharp one. These are very sharp and hold an edge.

These were exactly what was needed- refills for the outdoor edge knife. They are sharpe, and easy to replace. Will be buying these again.

Easy to use, very sharp. It does get dull cutting through elk and mule deer hair. Does a great job when cutting away the hide from the meat and for cutting the meat from the bone. Lasts a goodly amount of time before needing to switch to another blade. I've used a lot of different name brand knives for butchering big game and always end up wishing I had one more sharp knife. These changeable blades have solved that problem for me once and fur all! Make sure to pull the blade from the knife after butchering and clean the skin and meat from the area of the knife where the blade and knife come together. If you leave that chore for the next day and it dries like that, you'll pay heck trying to separate the blade from the knife. Very hot water will be your friend in that situation.

We love these outdoor edge knives for butcher day! We love them so much that we recommend them to our students. No worrying about how sharp your knife is or trying to sharpen it in the middle of carotid slices on 80 meat birds. If you feel like your blade isn't cutting well, switching a blade out takes less than 30 seconds. Even when these aren't sharp enough for the kill cones, theyre still plenty sharp enough to keep in your shop for others uses. Great value for the money spent and makes those carotid cuts easier on beginners.

Would probably give 3.5 stars if it were an option. Very sharp out of the package which is great for precision cutting but it just seems that they don’t hold and edge very long. Especially if you get into anything on a fish or animal like a bone it pretty much instantly dulls it. Think I’ll just stick to a wet rock and old school filet and boning knives.

Love the ease of replacement and the sharpness out of the bag. Fits like it should and stays in place through the use of the blade. I use it for cleaning and processing wild game from deer to ducks. I would highly recommend for the ease of use and the quality of the blade.
