Great repair product
Ease of installing did not leak

Worked out great.
I have a house built in 1978 and its tough finding ABS fittings. These P traps worked out great. I'm glad someone still has them and at a much better price than the local plumbing supply house (priced at $27 ea.) and the local big box stores were also iffy. If I were going to keep this property, I would have purchased a few spare P Traps.

Exactly what I neede
There appears to be only two manufacturers of ABS connectors and P Trap fittings. NIBCO and Charlotte. Generally the fittings are interchangeable except for threaded connections on the P Trap with Union. NIBCO threads are different than Charlottes. IMHO I think NIBCO seals better than Charlotte’s This NIBCO item was perfect.

Doesn’t work with existing pipe
I tried connecting to existing elbow to drain pipe; leaks profusely. This one has angled internal edge that interlock inside the threaded joint (probably superior to what I already had if I could have used). My Existing elbow didn’t have this angle (flat edge), so they weren’t compatible, but replacing with the elbow this came with would have been difficult. Fabricated a rubber gasket out of a sliver of rubber pipe coupling, plus pipe thread sealer, and it worked. Lesson learned; use the elbow it comes with, or find another product. Also; there is a large gap in the middle of the receiving elbow on each side, which is perplexing. I guess it doesn’t matter if you have the angled edge on elbow previously mentioned, but if not, it exacerbates the leak problem.
