My 800 Page Sketchbook: The Biggest Sketch Book Ever

NOTE: Photo is the sketchbook with coil binding that I added after purchasing. It doesn't come like this!Before purchasing, I did read the reviews that say the paper was too thin to use for markers. With that knowledge, I went and bought it anyway because I know I'm planning to use it for ball pen (and possibly gel pen) sketches. Paper is thin (but not super thin) and the paper texture is light. Been using it to do a sketch a day (I still miss a day here and there) and I'm up to page 24 at the time of this review. I'm not too fond of glue binding so I re-binded it into a coil sketchbook (makes it easier to get the pages on the next at the start.So it's good sketchbook if you're going to use pencils up to ball pen and even gel pens. However, anything that has a chance to soak through (Sharpies, other markers, etc.), you can either stick to using one side of the page (with scrap paper between the pages to keep the next from being soaked through) or just pass altogether and get a sketchbook that suit your needs better.

I have received the book today, I had some inconvenience with the shipping but everything turned out alright. Upon receiving the book it was love at first sight, such a great book. As an artist I really love sketchbooks and this 800 page book is one of my favorites. The print is good quality and basic. The pages are thin though so it requires light sketching and dry mediums which is great for me. I’m using this book for thumbnails for my comics so it’s totally fine for me. Buy this sketchbook according to your needs. Do you draw with pens? Do you draw with paint or markers? Do you draw with ink? Think about it twice. Do love sketching with pencils? This is the right one for you. This book is great according to your needs. I will definitely keep purchasing this book, my art habits require me having lots of sketchbooks, so this definitely not the last time I will purchase this. My only complaint is that the pages are numbered, but that’s not a big concern.

I love it! I got one for my daughter and she’s made some pretty amazing things in it. Definitely made her want to make more art. Mom approved!

I like this book. It's got a lot of pages, which is what I wanted. However, it's a paperback book and once you hit the 200s of pages, the book doesn't exactly play nice. It's not a bad buy by any means, but certainly not something I get excited to grab and draw in. If you want a lot of pages though? This is your book.

It’s pretty thick. I love that the pages are numbered. Not bad at all but not something you want to travel with but love that it’s not hardcover or wired on the the side. Would buy again but maybe less pages

Wow good product. My daughter love to draw and this is perfect for her. I bought this last year as for Christmas gift and a year later she still have pages left . I’d buy it again

Too bulky. But paged we’re thick which I liked. Needed precut holes for easier use.

I was too spoiled by the Art Alternatives 600 page large sketchbook. I guess I expected a higher quality. It's cheap numbered paper. It reminded me of those giant but deceptively light college textbooks. I'm going to give it away to a primary school student bc I think they'll love it. If you're a seasoned artist, don't buy this!

There are some minor issues but considering how cheap the book I'm still giving 5 stars. There are some faint lines on many of not all the pages probably factory marks from production. They will not bother me as this book is intended for practicing and they are very faint. Maybe it's not all the books and I just got unlucky.I saw another reviewer complaining about the pages being thin. I dont know what they were expecting for this price... Luxury paper for a dirt cheap price? For the price and the size of the book they were actually thicker than I was expecting. I was able to draw with sharpies in this book and just use the one side of each sheet. I was surprised to be able to do this in a cheap book. I was expecting it to bleed through onto the next sheet but it doesnt. If you want to use both sides of the paper you will need to stick with stuff like pencils and ballpoint pens.I will definitely be ordering more.

Exactly what I asked for! Came with a wee dent on the corner of the spine but I think this happened during transit or packing anyways :DDDThe paper is regular white book paper, which is probably good considering the sheer SIZE of the thing!!The cover is cardboard, and it's your old regular novel cover cardboard. I was worried about it creasing in my backpack so I crocheted a wee book sleeve for it.I like to pop a cardboard sheet in a paper sheet protector under the page when using alcohol markers on it. I plan on sticking stuff to the back side of the page to cover up the markers leaking to the other side, but the paper holds up surprisingly well against alcohol markers anyway. It's only if I keep going over one specific area of the page that it leaks through or tears.I'm not sure if I can add pics after the review is posted, but I will later on! I just can't be bothered to take pics with my phone rn XDDDDefinitely coming back for more when I finish filling this bad boy up! Might stockpile these, actually. I don't feel as worried about "doing things perfectly" with this book for some reason. Maybe because there is simply so much paper, or because it's not one of those fancy sketchbooks???

Dear Amazon. Thank you for delivering this product on time and straight to my nephew who totally enjoyed this book. Great for kids who love to draw and carry all their portfolio with them. I wished this game in other kid friendly colours.

Decent quality- good for quick pencil sketches. Paper is photocopy paper quality, but many inks and markers will go through. Still a blast to have such a large book to keep all my drawings in. Shipped really quickly.
