It's Short enough to keep the attention of young ones but long enough to tell a good story and teach along the way. Highly recommend! We read it every night before bed. We look at the antics from the line on each page and we talk about the animals and the people. I thought it was extremely CLEVER of the author to have it tell the story this way because the book reads from both the people's view point as well as the animals which shows there is ALWAYS more than one way to understand a story. Love love love. Such a fun book for me to be able to read to her. And also, remember to play "find the monkey" - we always try to spot the monkey wearing the cap first on each page. GREAT book all around and so thankful it was part of our desertcart box. Great book.. Highly recommend
My toddler loves animals.. So this book was a big hit! If you have ever taken your little one to the zoo or intend to, this is a perfect book to read afterwards! The illustrations are so bright and fun, the rhythm of the story flows so nicely that my toddler is able to read along and say the rhyming words, and it is just a cute book that introduces some really cool animals. It's Short enough to keep the attention of young ones but long enough to tell a good story and teach along the way. Highly recommend! We read it every night before bed.

GRrrreat BOOK - a bedtime must-read

Fun Story
A great book. The story is fun and the pictures are awesome. I bought this book after we went to the zoo and saw pelicans (they are in the book!).

Great illustrations and cute story
This is my favorite book to read to my 8-month old! We just got passes to our local zoo and I want to point out all the animals from her book to her. Really cute story and lots to look at.

If your family enjoy visits to the zoo as my family always has....these bright zoo books with all the animals were always a hit for toddlers. They learn the animals and are attracted to the sturdy board book that reminds them of all the fun they have strollering around the zoo with their parents...Fun for Toddlers

Beautiful and imaginative illustrations
There are a lot of small details in the drawings, especially the backgrounds to the scenes, that make repeat reads with the little one enjoyable - you don't really have to stick to the story at all, you can pick out random background elements and make up new stories as you go.

This book was purchased as a birthday gift for my niece, and she loved it. It was very colorful and cute.

Great book for littles!
Gifted along with a day pass to the Toronto zoo to my nephew for this birthday! He loved reading about the animals before we went to visit them! The illustrations were great and the story was cute!
