The rugs are comfortable, which is super important when I'm standing in the kitchen preparing meals. So, they definitely cover functionality. As for form, the rugs have a beautiful pattern that is consistent throughout. I haven't washed them yet, so I don't know how they hold up after a washing but they vacuumed just fine.

These are unique in that the pattern appears soft of tuscany like. Its not real bright and "kitchenie' rather takes on an italian coloring. I enjoy them. Easy to wipe down.
