Polyx-Oil, 3011 Clear Gloss - .750 Liter

Wow do I like this stuff! The photos are of my kitchen floor. Well the subfloor actually. I screened the floor and used my homemade purple stain on them. After drying I buffed then put down the first coat of osmo polyx 3011 clear gloss. I probably put it down too thick but still used less than 1/4 of my 750ml can. To be honest I could have called it done at that point but being my first time using it I went ahead, after drying of course, and put my 1600rpm burnisher (white pad) on it and really saw no change in the floors appearance. Since it is my kitchen I thought it would be best to put a second coat and burnished again. After two coats and burnishing both coats I couldn’t see any difference from only one coat. It’s really good stuff as far as application goes. I’m hoping its durability is also great. There was a little Oder after application but nothing I couldn’t handle. It didn’t linger very long. I will be using the same on the rest of my hardwood floors. Oak, no stain, clear gloss. Should be beautiful.

The best Hard Wax Oil available

There is a bit of a learning curve to the application. But great YouTube videos help out. The best application method we found is using white 3M Scotch Brite Non Woven Pads Non Scratch (or similar), depending on surface area hand applied or using orbital polisher. We have switched for many of our wood products and instruments over to this hard oil wax.

Great product, terrible container. Osmo Polyx-Oil is absolutely the best and only choice for a smooth, beautiful, hard, protective clear coating. Easy to apply, easy to sand and beautiful protection. But the container is not so good, the can allows air and the product will separate, harden and is useless before it can be used up. Secure the lid, hammer it down, and then cover it with a latex glove, making sure to let the glove "burp" to remove any air trapped inside the glove. So far it's the best way I found to keep the lid from allowing air into the container.

It says gloss finish, but much more a matte finish instead which I still really like.

Great product for finishing custom wood projects. Dries very, very hard! Suggest very thin coats. Applied with white non-abrasive pads. Did not leave on excess oil. Great all-natural product for leaving an extra hard finish on floors, cutting boards, walking sticks-whatever wood project you have! Enhances the wood color & grain!

I've used a number of finishing products for my woodwork, and OSMO is my go-to product. Easy to use, sets up quickly and is durable.
