Solid product
These work great both as part of th alarm system and effective as just a bed pad.

Changed my life
This thing is great! I bought it for my wife to help her stop drooling in bed. So far it's working. After the first night she moved to the couch and my life has improved 10 fold.

Improved my life
Excellent product for aged parent. It lets you sleep--no more need to check every two hours at night. Wet Detective improved my health, happiness, and mental state. Missed sleep leads to dementia for caregivers. The pads come clean easily and dry quickly, but it's safest to have three or four so you always can replace wet ones no matter how many times there's urine during the night.

Have Multiple Pads and Be CAREFUL while washing.
We switched from another, higher cost, bedwetting alarm. The other manufacturer's pad failed and it was outside of warranty (we didn't use for about a year after purchasing for random reasons). We chose this manufacturer as it offered replacement parts in lieu of having to re-purchase a whole kit. The system itself works great. However, after using this for about a week, see the below things to consider and look out for: 1. Buy multiple pads. With the other manufacturer, the pad was vinyl and could be dried off after being wet. With this manufacturer, it has a cloth that will take all night to dry. And can't be "disinfected" without washing. When you're child is learning to stop wetting the bed, they will go through multiple pads a night (we use 3 total). 2. Be VERY careful while washing. Follow the instructions on the pad. Machine wash WARM (not hot) and dry on WARM (not hot). Even with following the instructions, one of the pads bunched up and would not lay flat again. The pad is made up of 3 layers. First layer is cloth with the leak detection woven in. Second is a vinyl (?) waterproof layer to protect your mattress, then there is a backing. The vinyl layer bunched up and melted together when it came out of the dryer. We had to cut off the backing and the vinyl layer to continue to use the pad. This is a decent system, but, I was surprised at the failure the first time it was washed. And yes, we followed the directions. The other pads washed at the same time did NOT have the same issue. Weird. But time will tell the longevity of the system. As a parent of an older child that still has problems with bedwetting, we had to setup a baby monitor to listen for the alarm in our room at night. He will sometimes silence the alarm and not get up. Or not turn it on. He doesn't like waking (why we still have a problem). But, those are problems with any alarm system. We will continue to use and hope for the best.

Dog training tool?
We don't use this product as intended I have to say. We have several rescue dogs and they have decided or some of them have, to go on a leather recliner. We put the pad on the floor and when it gets wet it scares the dogs! So far I am seeing some results. Will have to see how stubborn they are because right now when it goes off, they all run out the pet door!
