The Cream of the Crop!
I researched my options, chose this diffuser and paid full price for it. I do not have any connection with the company. I wrote the first part of this review as an answer to one of the questions about diffusing citrus oils, but I have to expand and write that this is absolutely the cream of the crop of all Essential Oil diffusers. I am so happy to have discovered Organic Aromas. Their diffuser is worth every penny. I spend enough on high-quality EOs of various brands that I don't want to waste a single drop. With this diffuser, you only have to put in a few drops, turn it on and you can immediately see the vapor rise and dissipate into the air. Other reviewers have already put up great pics and video showing this. I'm dividing my thoughts: Scent Flow: I use this at home at roughly the midpoint of our open-concept combined kitchen/breakfast-/family room (44'L x 16'W x 10'H) and the scent reaches the furthest corners within 1-2 minutes. I could Never get that effect with any plastic water-misting diffuser, no matter how long they were on. (Plastic water-misters do have their uses, though. I put them in the kids' rooms when the kids have colds, just to add a bit of humidity. Use citrus oil in a plastic diffuser and you'll see that the oil will not mix with water, of course, and will stay in little globs and eventually leave a residue on plastic insides.) Place a plastic water-misting diffuser beside one of Organic Aromas' diffusers and turn them both on. You can see the difference and watch the vapor spread up-and-out with OA's and compare that to the up-and-then-straight-down flow of the plastic water-misting diffusers. The 2 minutes On & Off cycle ensures that you don't get "nose blind" or desensitized to the EO. You get more bang for your buck because you can actually detect and appreciate when new vapor is being released, soyou will not be wasting oil. Aesthetics: "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." - William Morris This diffuser with its beautiful curves, is Both. It's a small work of art with a purpose. Someone may have already posted this, but here's a link for info and at the bottom is a video about how the wood is shaped and how the glass is expertly handblown http://organicaromas.com/pages/how-it-works . The wooden base is smooth and has a lovely warm light color with subtle graining. The handblown glass vessel and little cap are perfect with no bubbles or warped edges. No plastic water-misting diffuser can compare. Pure EOs also degrade plastic, another reason why OA's glass vessel is superior. I also love the color-changing light, it's unique to this brand of diffuser. It has more of a gentle mood lighting effect and emits far less light than a child's nightlight. I've also used this on my nightstand and my husband and I slept easily with the light on the whole night. The light adds a warm, charming ambiance. This diffuser is a real conversation piece, when it's downstairs in the family room, guests always ooh and ahh over it. Sound: As I just wrote, I have also slept with this on my nightstand with no problems. I do keep it at the lowest setting when in the master bedroom, as that is all I need. I have never had to turn it up full blast, but if you did so without its cap, there is a slight white noise shhhh sound. I imagine that if you had it on full blast with out its cap on and you sat close to it, it might not be to your liking. Put the cap on the diffuser, though, and the sound is negligible, especially since when I place it downstairs in the family room area, we are moving about and usually have other things going on that actually produce sound. We can tell it's working not by its sound, but by the aroma when it's cycling On. Cleaning: I clean my diffuser about every 2-3 weeks because I use different EOs, including pure single citrus as well as citrus blends and blends containing frankincense, which are relatively viscous. I've had the diffuser for almost 3 months and I've never had a clog. The regular cleaning is probably why. It's easy though, so don't be put off by it. I just remove the glass vessel, half-fill it with hot water and a few drops of dish soap, place my thumb over the opening, shake it gently for a bit and rinse with warm water. Customer Service: I corresponded with Chad, who was courteous and patient with the Many questions and follow-up questions I had before I finally made my order. However, the true test of good customer service is how things are handled when a glitch takes place. A mix-up occurred through no fault of OA, yet Chad took immediate steps to rectify it and he kept in contact until I received it, almost like a worried parent. He actually cared what happened! It arrived safe and sound. The diffuser parts were all securely packed in a dense gray foam with easy to follow instructions, plus 2 Long pipettes and a surprise! I already have EOs, but for those of you who don't, a bottle of oil is actually included so you can try the diffuser immediately. As far as I know, OA is the only brand that includes a bottle of oil, much less 2 large pipettes, with every diffuser. (The oil I received was Signature Blend, a really nice slightly woodsy scent, perfect for the holidays and worth ordering on its own.) Cons: This isn't really a con, just be careful that when you add your EO, you hold the diffuser at an angle so that the oil drips slowly down the inner wall of the glass vessel and doesn't fall straight down on top of the glass tubules. Like I wrote earlier, I haven't had any clogs, but I can see how it could happen if EO drops landed on top of the tubule openings. I also wish there were heavily discounted 2-, 3-, or 4-pack prices, as you will want more than one for your home or office and you'll want to share this product and the benefits of aromatherapy with your friends and family. I plan to donate a couple to our children's school. Lastly, I Really wish OA made a tiny cordless wall-plug model so that I could put one in each bathroom. My dream gift would be their Hand-Carved Floral Diffuser: http://organicaromas.com/collections/hand-carved-essential-oil-diffusers :) Our family loves our diffuser. I wish we had one for every room in the house. I've already ordered 2 more and plan to order others as very special gifts.

Too many defects to make an investment in this nebulizer
I had a problem with the flow of the vaper after running it continuously for two weeks. I deep cleaned it as per the instructions, but I found that it wasn't effective. If you purchase this, Amazon says that it cannot be refunded. It says it can't be returned per the seller. I bought other tops because I thought the dust was getting into the tube. The toppers are 15.00. If you buy the entire glass and top, it is 25.00. I thought I had resolved the issue. I was wrong. A new issue popped up. The machine stopped working, and it appeared that the electrical plug had a short. I tried plugging it into various outlets and could see that moving the plug turned it on and off. Either way, no aroma. Amazon gave me a goodwill refund because the listing did not indicate the item was not returnable. They told me I could dispose of it or donate it. I decided to keep working on it. I also told Amazon that they need to make it known on the listing that the item is NOT returnable. I contacted the seller. Once they discovered that Amazon refunded me, they wanted it back. So is it returnable or not? Maybe it is non-returnable for people who don't complain and accept the auto-generated message. If the unit fails, it is probably best to contact the company directly if you have time on your hands to go back and forth. They should be able to help. I saw other people were paying additional fees for parts after having the unit for less than three months. The company sent me a label to send it back. They didn't try to sell me a WORKING unit. Their focus was on getting the non-working unit back...so maybe it is returnable. My feeling is that the unit has known flaws and the suckers who run and rate the thing with five stars after having it for a few weeks will learn that it won't run for long--and then you have to pay to get it fixed. I found another US-based company (Aromis) that has nebulizers here on Amazon and on their own website--Nebulizers that run for 12 hours, not the two hours that this unit runs. I'd say that Aromis has better machines and they are 10.00 less. Aromis indicated that the electrical plug could go out. I think that is what is the issue with this machine--besides the clogs. I'd try the bent cap just in case dust is the cause of the plug. Organic Aromas has one model where the outlet cap is slightly bent, if you decide to keep buying from them, you might try this. I won't be purchasing anything from this company. When the machine failed, after days of use, it was deemed unreturnable. If this happens to you, don't give away your money. Contact the company. If they can't resolve it at no additional expense, contact Amazon.

I'm new to diffusing & have only been using it two days but must say so far it's wonderful & well worth the price
First let me say that I did not receive this diffuser for a product review: I bought it to replace a cheap one that only lasted an hour & I just received it Saturday. I'm new to diffusing & have only been using it two days but must say so far it's wonderful & well worth the price! I like the ability to adjust the stream & honestly it almost works too well-when I first turned it on & turned it up it very quickly made the room smell great...but did become overwhelming. Now when I run it, I turn it just so it clicks on & leave it there on the very lowest setting. I have a ranch home & the scent quickly moves to the other rooms. I'm considering moving it to the back of the house & using the exhaust fan to pull the scent through the rooms for maximum effect. Haven't tried cleaning the unit yet, will probably update the review once I do....but the instructions seem pretty straight-forward & not difficult. One caution: since the oil is poured directly into the diffuser & not diluted with water, oil usage seems like it may be a concern, especially with the cost of some oils. Another reason I keep it on the very lowest setting possible. The instructions state to fill the well with oil, but I didn't since I didn't want to dump that much in all at once! I put enough in to run for a while & just kept an eye out-it started sputtering when the oil ran low so I shut it off. Not sure if that will effect performance, so I'll just have to watch the oil level. But overall I'm very happy & would definitely recommend! 1/28/16-So I've had the diffuser about a month, I've cleaned it many times, & I must say it's pretty simple. I alternate between the manual's recommended "general" clean & "deep" clean. On the general clean, I use one of the included droppers to suction out any remaining essential oil. Then I use the other dropper to add rubbing alcohol, run the unit for a few minutes, suction out the alcohol & it's done. Let it dry a bit & you can add a different oil. I do the "deep" clean after I've diffused a thicker oil, such as lemon or my stress relief blend. What I do is, remove the glass cap & pull the glass reservoir off & put both in a deep plastic container (old food storage container). I heat water in my kettle to a simmer, then pour the hot water in the container over the glass & swish it around, being sure to get the hot water into the micro-tubes to flush out any little bits of oil that may be in there. Carefully take both out of the hot water, let dry & it's ready to use again. I haven't used detergent on the deep clean yet (as recommended in the manual), only because I do the deep clean every couple of days (again, only had it about 1 month) & it hasn't been necessary for me to use detergent yet in the cleaning, even with the thicker oils. I do add some detergent to the rinse water after I remove the glass, just to help in breaking up the oil residue on the water before I dump it away. I'm going to use detergent in the next deep clean though; I run this diffuser every day & don't want any problems with residue clogging the micro-tubes. Usage of oil: I still keep it on the very lowest setting; it's pretty powerful even on low & fills the room quickly. Plus, I'll admit it, I'm thrifty (cheap!) & I don't want to blast through more oil than is necessary! ๐ When I suction out the oil before cleaning, I use the dropper to squirt it back into the bottle! Anyway, I usually run the diffuser in the evening after hubby & I are done with work, probably from 6pm to about 10 or 11. On the very lowest setting, running only those hours, 2 ml of oil will last me approx. 3-4 evenings. When I blended my own oils, I put 4 ml in the diffuser & on the same low setting it lasted 7+ days. Longevity of product, can't say at this point since I've only had it going on 1 month, but it's well made & I'm hoping that by keeping it clean & taking care of it, that I get many years of enjoyment out of it! Overall I'm very satisfied with this diffuser & would highly recommend it. Hubby loves it too, & if I forget to turn it on, he reminds me! Get it, you won't regret it! ๐๐

Nice look, glassware is a plus - very attentive company
I am not a fan of ultrasonic (I had bad experience with humidifier - you get fine white powder residue all over your surfaces at home) so, was looking for a pure oil option and bumped into this model. This is the second model I tried - the first ( Essential Oil Diffuser for Aromatherapy, Waterless & Wireless Aroma Diffuser Nebulizer with Rechargeable Battery, Perfect for Home, Car, Work, Bath, Bedroom, Travel, Spa, & More ) essentially broke after a while so I was looking for a second option. This version is better made overall - there is no dripping, no screwing a container and leaky seal (like the model noted above). Easy to full, easy to manipulate. The idea is that it blows air in one tube and creates a suction like current which also lift the oil from its container and vaporize into a mist. It works but I see some drawbacks (comments in brackets reflect post review additions on how the issue was resolved or partly mitigated): - my unit is essentially blowing oil against the glass and I have to keep the unit opened (cap off) to get any mist spread in the air (I wonder if I should replace the glass container - other customers tend to indicated they had similar issues) [*** this was addressed by the company - see addendum below ***] - despite comments, I would not call this unit quiet - much nosier than the Essential Oil Diffuser for Aromatherapy, Waterless & Wireless Aroma Diffuser Nebulizer with Rechargeable Battery, Perfect for Home, Car, Work, Bath, Bedroom, Travel, Spa, & More , there is a strong buzzing sound IMO (and even a vibration). [*** now that the glassware was replaced, I no longer have to put it on maximum strength, noise is much lower ***] - I feel it lacks options in terms of he mode of operation: it would be good to have [*** I am now using a timer to get around this ***] * a choice of 1,2,4 hours or continuous mode (auto-stop when empty) but this is a turn on or off model. * you have to turn the switch back off and on again to restart (on/off and levels and modes should be separated button for convenience) * a wireless option would be great (even if battery powered, would be better as this cord-based unit limits the place where you can place it) - Along the same vein, if power goes off in your house, when it comes back, the unit turns on (light included). I found this while coming back from a trip ... surprise to see the lights on (not a big deal but I would definitely prefer the on/off button to be separated from the diffusion strength nob) There are pros. - glassware which also means ... - very easy to clean IMO (indeed, just add some rubbing alcohol in the tank, swirl and voila!) - unlike the Essential Oil Diffuser for Aromatherapy, Waterless & Wireless Aroma Diffuser Nebulizer with Rechargeable Battery, Perfect for Home, Car, Work, Bath, Bedroom, Travel, Spa, & More , no leak possible in this design (the oil never go down the main air blow tube) and with glass instead of plastic, no ways to damage any plastic parts - blows pure essential oil - I like the changing light for the ambiance To watch - there are reports this model also stopped working after some (short)time - I hope not because indeed, it is no cheap and a break after a bare 4-6 months would be a bummer (but this is what happened to me with the Essential Oil Diffuser for Aromatherapy, Waterless & Wireless Aroma Diffuser Nebulizer with Rechargeable Battery, Perfect for Home, Car, Work, Bath, Bedroom, Travel, Spa, & More so, I am not putting my confidence in this unit in over-drive yet and will make an addendum if it breaks that early). In short, a fine unit but could be better with more options and a more consistent design of the vaporizing glass container (a slight angle instead of blowing straight to the side would be best). Addendum July 2017 ---------------------------- The unit seems to work better but still does not seem as designed - I cleaned with alcohol @ 99% every week - perhaps the glass top was not not all clear at first? I put it on a timer as well for a more regular operation and a diffusion along the day. I decided to purchase a second unit (by the way, you can get it at a lower price by buying from the maker's own web-site using the magic discount coupon they send in the package). I may raise the rating by +1 if it passes the test of time (still below 3 months use). Addendum August 2017 -------------------------------- The company got back to me (see comments + in Emails) and wanted to be sure I am 100% satisfied. In the meanwhile, the second unit arrived and I could see the difference. I attach a picture of a working unit: you can see the container part filled with the nebulized oil (a fog forms inside the glass) while the glass drop tip exhaust a small plume of smoke, shooting straight up. The first unit did not form that fog inside. The glassware of the first was indeed defective (to be sometimes expected for hand-made glassware, no complaints). Chad (the contact at Organic Aromas) decided to send me a new glassware. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he tested himself in the lab before sending it to me (yes, he also took a video - little sticker with my name on it so I can see this was a video just for me - an outstanding customer support). It is to be noted that the Email exchanges were very helpful, informative and friendly: I felt that the company was going far beyond average to make sure I was happy with their product. I received it very very fast (next day in the evening) and I am pretty happy now with two working units. My review has been bumped up by one star and as noted before, if the unit works without wear for a while, this is a product that would be deserving maximum rating ...

I was amazed by the attractive
First, I was amazed by the attractive, careful, and protective packaging of this diffuser by OrganicAromas. Each part was carefully placed within special thick foam-lined compartments in the box.The beautiful wood base was placed in a velvet pouch! Second, the diffuser is absolutely gorgeous. It took only seconds to set up and begin using. It came with a complementary small bottle of an essential-oil blend called "Morning Bloom," which is nothing short of heavenly! Very, very nice touch by Organic Aromas. The LED light is stunning, easy to turn on / off, and has a beautiful array of colors. The output of fragrance is overwhelming (a good thing!) on low settings in a 450 square-foot living area, and I could still faintly smell the oil the next day (12 hours later). Wonderful diffuser and well worth the extra money! My only constructive suggestion would be to include more information in the user manual, which tells you only how to set the diffuser up, add oil, and clean the diffuser. I had to research other important considerations like the ability to leave the LED light on without diffusing oil (no, unless the unit has automatically shut off after a cycle), which oils are too thick to be used alone (the list I have compiled from my research include cedar wood vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, German chamomile, vetiver, myrrh, benzoin, cypress, clove, Frankincense, and all carrier oils), and whether the diffuser could be damaged during the two-hour cycle if the diffuser runs out of oil (no damage). UPDATE: I have used this diffuser now for over four months and have decided that a water-based ultrasonic diffuser would be a better choice for me. First, this diffuser uses a minimum of double the amount of oil required in a good ultrasonic diffuser but diffuses for only a fraction of the time (2 hours maximum as opposed to 6-10 hours maximum with an ultrasonic using half the amount of oil). Second, the oil diffused is extremely strong, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on what you want. The diffusion can easily be controlled by the output regulating knob, but the unit still automatically shuts off after 2 hours. If you want to continue diffusing, you must manually turn the unit back on. Third, ultrasonic diffusers with large reservoirs also act as humidifiers, which I think is important while diffusing these potent essential oils, especially since I have a cat, and cats are very sensitive to certain oils, which can critically injure them. All of this said, I still love this diffuser and vouch for its effective diffusing abilities. Its output is very strong even on low settings. It is gorgeous and works perfectly (I use it daily). At work, however, I would like to gently diffuse and humidify all day long in my office. After exhaustive research, I decided to try the Young Living Desert Mist diffuser, which has all the components I am looking for in a diffuser: intermittent, low, and high settings; large water reservoir; auto shut-off; long diffusing time (10 hours); low oil consumption (8-10 drops for 10-hour output); humidifying capacity; variety of lights; polypropylene / BPA-free shell; good warranty. After I use it for a while, I'll write a review of it on Amazon and on the Young Living Web site (where I bought it).

Do not buy this: uneven quality, customer service strings you along
Like many, I suppose, I learned about this from The Wirecutter's recommendation. The problem is that the glass part is made by hand and the company's quality control is inadequate. In my unit, most of the mist escapes from the sides (see video). This makes it burn up oils incredibly fast, and most of the mist falls on the dresser instead of getting sent up into the air. The aroma is mostly localized to where the diffuser is located and the oils are gone in 10-15 minutes. Not what is promised in the description, or what the Wirecutter described. So, buyer beware: the quality of your unit will entirely depend on the quality of your handmade glass portion. You can tell this is a defect because putting scotch tape around the connection between the glass and the topper fixes it, forcing the aroma up into the room and making the unit last much longer for a given quantity of oil. The company is aware of these problems but claims that you simply need to run the diffuser for 30 minutes to 'break it in'. This is incorrect, in my case at least. The company's customer service seems designed to string you along until your return period is over, asking for videos and links that amazon's message system won't allow you to send. I may consider purchasing a replacement glass piece and immediately returning it if it does not fix the problem. But, since these parts are handmade, my theory is that they have had problems with quality control as they sell more and more of these. Until they fix this, or improve customer service to actually replace defective glass, stay away. I'll update the review if they actually own up to this problem or if I'm able to fix it via a replacement glass piece.

Gorgeous aesthetically and works beautifully!
My 2nd one in two weeks, and I am getting a 3rd tonight. Gorgeous aesthetically and works beautifully! I am new to the world of natural and organic scents, and recently, have been experimenting with diffusers as well as oil. Out of the 10 diffusers I have purchased, this is one of the best. The scent coming from it is hearty and long-lasting and the house smells heavenly! The cool mist diffusing humidifiers where you add water are not as good, in my opinion, if you only need them for aromatherapy, as the cool mist scents don't last as long and sometimes they even heat up (which they shouldn't, and makes me think that the defect could cause a larger hazard). This one is well made and I am happy I bought it. UPDATE, as of 9/29/17 - I received the 3rd one, and it is still unopened. As much as I have liked the way these diffusers 'spew' scent into the air and make the room smell wonderful, now that I have had them for a while, I must be honest, they leave an oily film on whatever they are seated on when you are using them. And I have NOT been running them on 'high'. I knew not to place them on something wood (because essential oil will RUIN the finish on wood), so I placed them on glass tables, and those tables are now covered in a light oil. The diffusers are beautiful, the scent is wonderful, but oil is covering the glass tables that they sat on. Not good.

Great diffuser + exceptional customer service
We purchased the light wood finish and it is not only a gorgeous piece of decor on our sofa table but it also makes the entire first floor of our home smell beautiful using natural, high quality essential oils. Because it is a nebulizer, it does suck up oil a lot faster than an ultrasonic diffuser would but the scent payoff is far greater. (You can still smell the oils you were diffusing the day prior the minute you step into your house after work.) The best part is that because it is made of glass it does help maintain the integrity of the oils you use. You won't need to worry about any oils, particularly citruses, breaking down plastic chemicals and releasing them into the air that you breathe while diffusing. Our diffuser arrived well-packaged with lots of protective foam to keep the glass from being damaged in shipping. However, when we received our nebulizer we noticed that the cap did not properly fit the glass base. Also, we did not receive the sample of the Organic Aromas Signature Blend that is supposed to come with each nebulizer purchase. We contacted Organic Aromas and communicated with a helpful gentleman named Chad. Chad not only sent us 2 properly sized replacement caps but also a couple of extra samples of oil blends, courtesy of the company. The quality of customer service that this company offers is phenomenal and it makes all the difference. There are a lot of diffusers out there on Amazon but few companies are as attentive as Organic Aromas. Also, their signature oil blends are fantastic and authentic. We'll probably be purchasing more oils from their company soon. We've been using our diffuser for several months, several times a week, and it's been cleaned and deep cleaned as per the instructions regularly and we've not had any problems with it. We get compliments all the time on both this beautiful diffuser as well as the beautiful fragrances in our home. Highly recommend this if you are in the market for a luxurious, effective and aesthetically pleasing diffuser that you won't want to hide. -Antonio Simon Jr.'s Wife

Stunning 5 stars +++
I absolutely love this neublizing diffuser. I did wonder about the cost for a time as it is not cheap. However, it is beautifully made and having used it would never use anything else. It makes the air clear, almost as though you are standing on the top of a mountain. The fragrance is delicate but it is the purity of the air that I have really enjoyed. I had a cold over the weekend and added eucalyptus oil to the diffuser and it cleared my head and chest really effectively. I can't recommend this enough and the best recommendation is I have in fact bought another one despite the cost. My daughter who initially thought I was mad for paying so much has also been raving about it. This is nothing like the ordinary diffusers and is well worth the money!!

Excellent product and very powerful!
This met expectations and more! Very powerful product that fills the room within a minute! The changing colour is beautiful and the item itself is ultra quiet compared to others. The only minor thing I would say is that it would have looked better if the power cable actually attached from behind as opposed to the front. Furthermore, regrettably I knocked it and the glass head smashed! This has not effected the performance of the product in any way except that the vapour smoke no longer reaches the height it used to. I will definitely look into purchasing that piece separately if possible as it looks awesome with that attached! Would definitely recommend. Easy to see how this is the best diffuser in the world!

... 3 dogs and always worry what the house smells like. This product is great the oils smell so ...
I brought this product as we have 3 dogs and always worry what the house smells like. This product is great the oils smell so much better than when you use a diffuser with water. The only downside is that the buzzing noise it makes can get annoying if there isn't any other background noise, if the manufacturer improved this then it would be 100% perfect. This is a great product and worth the higher price point, very happy.

I've been using it for 6 years and I love it!
This is my favourite method of enjoying essential oils. I've had mine for 6 years now, with no issues at all. Easy to clean with alcohol and change scents. It's still working and looks and functions great, and makes virtually no noise. The scent throw is very strong! Stronger than other diffusers (where you mix the oils with water) that I own. It's lovely to get that pure scent and freshen a room. I've used a variety of different oil brands without problem, though obviously stick to the good ones. My favourite is mixing a combo of lemon and eucalyptus from the "Now" brand. Fills a huge room and hallway in around 5 minutes. Amazing! I would definitely buy again!
