It’s the bottom of the 9th. Bases are loaded. Your favorite player is up to bat. He swings. He hits. It’s a…..grand slam! It’s true, fans love a good game. And we love players that inspire us. But who inspires the players? Who do they look to for guidance? Dugout Devotions takes an inside look at several popular Major League Baseball players and their successes both on and off the diamond. Recounting personal stories about their walk with Jesus Christ, these superstars serve God and provide a great counterbalance to the negative stories about athletes. Through these daily devotions, these players will inspire you once more but this time it will be you in the batter’s box. Get ready to knock the curveball out of the park for the grand slam in your spiritual life. Review: Inspiring Stories for Young Athletes – More Than Just Baseball! - I bought this for my 7-year-old son, and it has been such a meaningful addition to his bookshelf. As a parent of a young player in travel baseball, I’m always looking for ways to teach him about character, resilience, and faith beyond just the technical side of the game. Dugout Devotions uses stories from MLB’s best players to deliver powerful, relatable lessons. It’s written in a way that’s easy for kids to understand, and it serves as a great conversation starter before or after his games. It helps him see that his favorite stars face challenges too, and that having a strong mental and spiritual foundation is key to success. If you have a young ballplayer in your family, this is an incredible gift. It’s inspiring, grounding, and a home run for any "Stars of the Faith" fan! Review: My husband, son and I highly recommend this! - Wow! This devotional sharing real baseball player’s testimonies-their love and passion for Jesus and how the baseball field is their mission field-is inspiring, moving and incredible! It made all of us want to be brighter lights for Jesus and be bolder in our witness. I’m so thankful to Del for putting this together. It will have a true, eternal impact on so many boys (definitely our son!) who love baseball and look up to these players. Thank you Del! For partnering with us in discipling our son. God bless you!

Inspirational!
My 13 year old grand nephew loves baseball. These stories were by some of his favorite players. Inspirational. Inwish there was more scripture incorporated though. Still he loved it.
