As a dryer vent cleaning kit, this is a great product. I was on the verge of giving it 3 stars but that would be unfair because I use this as a tool in so many other capacities. I had to strip an entire automotive interior for pest cleanup and used this to get into frame holes and air vents. I've also used it for auto detailing and misc cleaning. If you're planning to use it for all of that, don't expect a heavy duty tool that will hold up to much abuse. But, if you're just cleaning your dryer then no issues at all.

Works very well. Hard to believe all that lint is in there.

Mixed results. I wanted to use this to clean the dryer vent pathway on my LG TROMM electric dryer. When the dryer's filter screen is removed, the cavity is much too small for my household vacuum, and none of the attachments I have are long enough to reach down to the bottom of the vent below the filter. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my hopes, though it is good at the basics. PRO: MUCH better than my household vacuum attachments. This is just the right size to clean the area below where the removable filter screen sits. I am constantly getting lint buildup in there. This tool does an excellent job of cleaning that part of the airpath. Another pro: the build quality is good for the price, except for the wire handle. The rubber adapter is very sturdy, and the small diameter hose part is also of good quality. CON: The next stage is the problem. The dryer's vent makes a 90 degree turn towards the back, and I want to be able to clean in there. I hoped that this flexible tube and bendable wire control rod would let me make that turn. Unfortunately, this tool's wire handle is flimsy and very difficult to control. I cannot get it to make the turn from the front area where the removable filter is into the next stage of the vent path that I cannot see into, and where I suspect I may have additional lint buildup that is causing dryer issues. Summary: It does part of the job very well, and part of the job not at all. If you just need to be able to reach down a little further than your regular vacuum tools permit, this may be just the thing. If you're hoping to be able to reach further than that, I don't think this too will help.

this was a great set. It included an adapter for my vacuum which actually fit on my dust buster type vac as the opening is flexible and my dustbuster has an oblong end. It was easier to use than my upright vac but I'm sure it would work with that too. I think my dustbuster is a little weaker so maybe that is why some lint got stuck, but it was not hard to get it out and I can not believe how much I got out. I did not find the metal thing helpful. The tube itself is flexible but firm enough that I think using that metal would have been worse. I did like the brush that was included. I first just used the tube and got a lot and then I used the brush and it loosened up a bunch more and then I was able to vacuum that too. I also was able to put the flexible tube under my washer and dryer. I can't believe this thing was so great. I had gotten one previously which was too wide to fit where it needed to go. This one is like a half inch wide maybe a tiny bit more and it fit down easily into the opening with room to move it around. I think it was about the right length too. If I pulled out my dryer I could prob clean it more from the other side. I may do that at some point. Anyway this thing is great. I think I only paid like $7-8 for it and it was worth that and more. It also does not take a lot of room to store. I can hang it in my laundry room closet so it's handy for when I need to use it again.

This is so simple and yet so clever. I thought my dryer was clean just from using the regular vacuum attachments, but I was (pleasantly?) surprised to discover how much I was missing with this tool. The “check vent” light came on my dryer and I couldn’t figure out how so I got this to do a deeper cleaning. I feel better knowing I have lowered my risk of fire by getting the hidden lint. It also works great for those tight spots between an appliance and the wall or underneath an appliance; basically anywhere your regular vacuum can’t reach, even the typical crevice tool. It is flexible to get in curvy spots, but the downside is it is hard to direct so I just end up wiggling it around to try and cover an area, such as under the fridge.

I get my dryer vents cleaned professionally every year at the beginning of fall and am always amazed at just how much lint gets blow out of the vent/duct. I purchased this product as more of a monthly maintenance item to keep my dryer running at top efficiency and hopefully reduce some electricity costs. This has 2 main parts - a soft plastic type of cone that fits over the stick/extension part of your vacuum and a skinny hose that attaches to the cone. The skinny hose has a bit of wire wrapped around the tip. The wire, which has a handle to help guide it, provides a bit of backbone to the skinny hose so you can push it farther into your lint trap area without it collapsing or kinking up. Of course, your main success depends on having a good vacuum with strong suction that is easy to maneuver when upright - in my case, I needed both my hands to hold the lint trap up, hold the stick/extension part of the vacuum, and use the wire part to guide the hose. It did pick up a lot of lint, but it clogged a few times because the hose is skinny. I used a metal shish-kabob skewer to clear it. Make sure to check periodically while using to clear any lint clogs. If they made the hose any thicker, it wouldn't fit in the lint trap area. That said, this tool came in handy for some other household tasks - it reaches under the fridge, under the stove, under the bathroom vanity, into the narrow sides between the laundry closet and dryer/washing machine, and my personal favorite - the toaster! Lol, EVERYTHING got vacuumed. Not bad at all for $7.

Totally works…couldn’t believe what came out. Dropped my drying time On low to medium temps by and easy 15 minutes. My trap has a lot of lint after each use, so My assumption was it got the bulk cleaned out and trashed….wrong…it only catches the initial the rest follows the way to the outside, but never quite makes it…thus the build up. It’s fairly easy to use…however my first time I emptied my Shark 4 times… After that I suggest using monthly. If my setting takes too much over set time I now check because this vent cleaner really works.

This was a terrible product. Feel apart (pipe tore when it connected to the attachment) in under two years. Was only used twice a year. Would avoid and find a more robust product.

I had doubts but I have to say this thing works amazing. Dryer vent slot was plugged, put this On vacuum and with the guide wire ith slot was cleaned out within a couple minutes. 10/10
