Douglas Louie Corgi Dog Plush Stuffed Animal

The best stuffed dog you could ask for. This little dog has given us so much joy and comfort. He’s not only soft but the perfect size to cuddle or carry around. We named him Kitty and have kept him with us for over 2 years now. He’s gained a lovable personality of his own with all the different fun outfits he can fit in. He has also been on many adventures with us including abroad since he can fit perfectly in any carry on. Kids love him as he is very durable and has a warm demeanor. Can even put him in a pillowcase in the wash and run on gentle cycle to get him looking clean and new again. Definitely a great buy.

This was my granddaughters wish for Christmas. The best made, cutest little Corgie ever. When I got it, it was flat inside an airtight bag, and when she unwrapped she thought it was a furry tail. It puffed out into shape immediately when she opened the seal. Impressed. Exactly like the picture advertised too. Thanks so much.

We were planning to get a Corgi as a family dog. Kids were little, we did not have a dog to this point so the kids were not familiar much with the corgi breed. We wanted to get them used to the dog, the idea, the shape, the feel of the breed, the coloring and so on.. The plush came very fast, the kids loved it to the point of putting it on the leash and taking it under arm around town. (NO! no pulling on the sidewalks were involved LOL). Corgi went with us everywhere for few months .. and so much so that we were ready for the new dog. Coincidentally one of our kids got into jogging and wanted a dog that will be able to jog with him. After short research turned that corgi was not ideal breed for us for that reason. We ended up getting athletic slim dog that is born to run.. you can guess the breed. Kids accepted the switch instantly and embraced the new idea. It was fascinating experience though to see how kids bonded with the plushie to the point that we still have it long after the corgi idea went south. We own the dog for few years now and the plushy sits on the shelve proudly reminding us of those first initial choice. In a way it became our honorary first dog. Love the plushie. Good quality, good detailing. Feels good to touch.

The Corgi is adorable and well made and the fur is soft. Another review posted a photo of their dog and said the fur wasn't laying correctly around the eyes. Someone posted a comment suggesting tight packaging can sometimes make the fur spread out awkwardly and to add some water and a comb to help the fur stay out of the eyes. While that is a good suggestion, I want to caution that when I did this to help pull the fur back a little, I noticed some black marks on the white fur near the eyes. I then noticed that in the inner corners of the eyes, there's a small black mark, like a real dog's eyes. This small black mark must not be dye fast, so dampening the fur even slightly, which is what I did, can make the black dye smudge. So please be careful if you decide to dampen the fur around the eyes and pull them away so the eyes appear more round. The photo does not show that the inner corners of the eyes have black marks, but the dog I received does. This black mark is part of the designl and it just makes the dog look more authentic. I highly recommend this Corgi!
