I Did the Research!!!
Tena has a great product, but their advertising sucks! This product, for instance, It's a Pad/Diaper. The earlier advertisements paired it with the pull-on pants that were made to accompany this product (I will try to insert pictures later). For the most part this is a 2-part system, it is not a diaper without the tabs, nor is it a pad like a sanitary napkin or pantyliner, but it is a unique incontinence pad, but you have to buy the pull-on pants to go with the pad.I have been wearing them since they came on the market and I lov'em! This is they only system that I don't have to worry about soiling my clothes, bed, chair, etc... I'm not questioning the absorbency nor do I second guess whether or not I will need to make sure I pack a change of clothes. I sleep all night and wake-up dry! At first I said, "Oh! this is a fluke, the next pack want be as good". I was wrong, I switch to this 2-part system and I have not looked back. The only disadvantage I found, so far, is the pull-on pants only come in a 2pk and after a couple of washes they are no good anymore. It kinda like they discenograte. Which is a good thing because I know just about when I need to replace them, and I usually order mines in bulk. This past month, I tried wearing one of the pull-up briefs with the pad. It was extremely bulky and took some getting use to, but in a pinch it works. So, now I have a backup and I found use for all those diapers I had that I could not use, because they were not absorbent enough (I was soiling my clothes trying to use them alone). So, If you are going to use these "Pads", they are a 2-part system. You will need to purchase the panty/brief that goes with it. Yes, it is sold on Amazon also. If you want to see the entire system go on the Tena website. Best choice I've made since becoming incontinent.

Sleeping
This is an uncomfortable conversation, but there are far too many of us out there not to have it. My issue comes at night while I'm sleeping. My once 'as watertight as a ducks butt' is gone (sadly) and I'm having to adjust rapidly to the new 'hot shuffle' while awake and 'should I just be sleeping in the bathtub' issues at night. As I'm big on comfort, the tub is out, and pads are in. I'm diabetic so I drink a lot of water which means precautions need to be taken. These pads have pluses and minuses. They are great in holding a lot of 'water' and depending on your needs they might be enough for you. It's necessary for me to have pads on my bed too at protect my mattress. The one thing I'd change about these is I'd put adhesive at both ends to help keep them fixed in underwear. They're long which is perfect for sleeping but without adhesive I've had to jerry rig my own adhesive at both ends to make it work. I use panty liners to create tabs at both ends which works well for my needs but, it's a design flaw that really should be fixed so I don't have to do it in the first place. I'm not at the diapers stage yet and I like my underwear so here we are. Hey Tena, help me out will ya? Adhesive at both ends!!!

Packaging was awful
The product itself was great as usual but for some reason it came in two boxes. There was the box it came in and then they it in a bigger box which just downright wasteful and more work to unpackage.

Excellent
I first began using these pads at home, as the briefs supplied by Medicaid are pretty useless. I did not use the Tena panties to hold them up, I just used my regular Fruit of the Loom panties.I am currently in a rehab facility, and temporarily unable to walk. The "briefs" (diapers) the facility provides are awful - barely absorbent, leaky. I use these inside the briefs and they're fantastic. I get a diuretic in the morning; these pads handle close to the 6 hours the diuretic lasts. I don't urinate in my sleep, only after I wake up. The pad handles 8 hours overnight, and sometimes longer. I get changed around 9 pm and not again until 5 am, and I often haven't urinated at all,so my aide just wraps me back up and I continue to use the pad until mid-morning when the diuretic kicks in.I frequently go 8-10 hours between changes. Other residents, with just the cheap "briefs" without a pad insert need changing every couple of hours. These pads allow me to live my life with minimal disruption for brief changes.

Excellent product for loved ones that have incontinence issues
Excellent for people with incontinence issues. The back part of the pad is a good width to capture urine. My mother lives in assisted living facility, they recommended the product for her to use.

Absorbency is very great.
These have no adhesive strips on them which is perfect. I have been looking for pads with no adhesive for years. Most people probably think that is crazy. Let me say that my first impression was that these pads are ridiculously huge. I am in my 60's currently weigh 265 and have a large abdominal flap from weight loss and aging. Because of this pads that adhere to underwear don't work for me as the underwear can't be pulled up snug in the crouch area because the abdominal flap is blocking the way. So over the years it has been challenging to find menstrual pads and now incontinence pads that can be adapted to work on my body's dimensions. The front of the pad I have to fold over like a cuff and place it under my abdominal flap so it sits firmly in the crotch where it needs to be. These pads are super absorbent! Which is awesome for me as I have heavy incontinence. They could use more gathering but work well regardless. I wear these under my underwear which is okay but not ideal. Be patient it is challenging to find a comfortable and effective way to wear these pads in the crotch region because the pads are so wide and have thick padding. I assume they are made this way to keep the super absorbency. Now my search continues for some mesh underpants that fit well and can keep the pads snuggly in place even when they are full. Pads are very heavy when full.
