Functional and well priced.

I picked these up for a trip to Scotland and Wales from the US. These adapters were exactly what we needed. They allowed us to run all of our electronics while overseas. They fit firmly into UK outlets. Though they become chunky and rather heavy with something plugged into them, they stayed tight and secure. Plugging a US cord into one of these adapters for the first time is a bit tight and stiff, but they loosen up with just a few uses. As other reviewers have stated, these adapters don't change voltage, they simply change over the shape of the plug. The typical voltage used in the US is 120 volts. In the UK it is 230 volts. Most pieces of electronics can run on a range of something like 110-240 volts. So you would be able to use those devices in virtually any country. However, there are some products that run on no more than 120 volts. So without some type of converter, you will be unable to use them in the UK. Check all of the items you wish to use overseas before you leave. (Nintendo's products are rather well known for having this problem).

Purchased the Type G (UK/Ireland/Hong Kong) version a number of years ago for a trip to Ireland. Really sturdy, worked great, have been using them for 3-4 years now, without fault. Very solid, stay in the 3-pin socket REALLY WELL, zero complaints. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Purchased the Type C (Continental Europe) version this year for a trip to Switzerland/Austria. Unfortunately, this version does NOT work so well, for a couple of reasons... [1] the adapter has a main body, from which a smaller sub-body sticks out, and that smaller sub-body has two pins. the problem I ran into with 90% of the outlets in Switz/Austria/Germany is that the sub-body is not deep enough for the majority of continental electrical outlets, which means the electrical pins do not go deep enough into the holes in the outlets for them to get a solid enough grip or "purchase" on the outlet. this meant that the adapter felt very loose, and when you plugged a phone/tablet USB charger into the adapter, it would more than likely pull the adapter out of the socket far enough to either disconnect or fall out completely. I measured the depth of a number of the outlets, and compared that to the adapter, and the sub-body would need to be at least 3-5mm deeper to give the electrical prongs enough depth to hold steady in the outlets [2] in Switzerland, many buildings have combination 3-in-1 outlet sockets which conserve space and allow for more devices to be plugged in. however, the blocky shape of this adapter will only allow 1 adapter to be used in this type of outlet, and it may block the ability to insert other plugs into the outlet at the same time. As a result, I can't recommend the Type-C adapter for Continental Europe, and would suggest you look on Amazon for adapters that don't have a block body (something more like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T1FYBM4 instead)

I live in Switzerland but travel all around Europe and I use OREI for all my adapters. Why? 1) They are solid and well built. No loose prongs or fear of starting a fire due to crappy quality 2) They allow for grounded plugs. No cutting of the ground plug or stuff like that. Not all adapters allow for this 3) They have the extra receptacle on the top (non-grounded). THIS IS GREAT for business travel. Grounded laptop cord in the front. Apple USB plug or power adapter on top. Leaves your computer USB open for work or data peripherals.

It's exactly like the one that was lost!

These adapters may not be the prettiest, but they're inexpensive and they work consistently. There are actually two places on the adapter to plug in your device, so if you're staying somewhere that doesn't have many plugs, you can double up. The two plug in spots make this my favorite adapter by far. I don't have to worry about the bulk of a power strip, and can charge two devices at once.

Although I bought this USA-to-UK adapter pair and a converter, I could have gotten away with either/or at the hotel that I was staying at. Both worked perfectly in the UK and this adapter appears very well made, except for one note: I did find that I had to really push the plug into the adapter much harder than I thought I would have needed to -- at first I thought it was the wrong female-size -- after some 'brute force' the plug engaged into the converter; but much easier to take out than to put in. Overall, a well-made, very good unit.

Very good quality and size. Needed for my laptop brought from the states to be used in Dubai. Strong grips. Highly Recommended.

OREI UK, Hong Kong Travel Adapter Plug: Good UK plug adapters. Lightweight, not bulky, and my chargers plug firmly in place. Just got back from 3 weeks in the UK using these every night, and they worked flawlessly.
