Imperial Set of 4 Coupe Salad Plate Set, One size, cobalt blue

Beautiful color and glaze. These plates are exactly the same size as my older Denby salad plates.

I was very excited to buy these plates as they were on Black Friday sale. But unfortunately did not meet my expectations. They scratched really easily and already look worn down (had for only a couple of months). Would not buy again.

There are 4 plates in the package. Two plates have edge/foot that may be ok but they are still not smooth. Two other plates have more defects. When you hold the plate, the defect is very obvious, It is very rough. protruding in some spots. It is sharp. I imagine it will break skin if you run of over your finger quickly. It does not look like damages, just bad workmanship. I expect very good quality of stoneware from Denby. On the worst plate, there are 2 regions that are bad, one about half inch and the other about 3/4 inch length. I checked all my dinnerware, expensive and cheap, and none of them shows this kind of imperfection. On the good note, the plate is very sturdy. Glaze is good. I think if you stack the dishes together with the kind of imperfection, it may scratch the dish below.
