20oz Sports Water Bottle

I have been buying this brand of water bottle for many years now. I still give this new water bottle version 5 stars, because it is absolutely the best water bottle we have been able to find. However, the new updates are NOT my fav.Positive:- The bottle body is still made of the same durable tritan material. BPA free.- bottle diameter fits into cup holders and backpack side pockets.- lightweight- the loop for carrying the bottle never breaks.- no straws (straws are icky germ habitats). Just an easily cleanable open chug concept. Note though, that this new lid has a smaller hole for drinking.- we have had several previous Opard bottles where the lid latch had chipped, and could no longer stay shut. Hoping that this new lid shape has a less breakable latch.Negative:- The former bottle, which I have been buying my family for years, had a nice linear modern look. The new flip lid has curves instead of straight lines (see photo).The old style hinge was wider and "sandwiched" the upper lid on both sides. Now there is only one pair of "holes" on each side of the hinge, so the hinge is not as stable and more easily breakable.- The new lid has an air hole to prevent a vacuum while you are drinking. (I never had a problem before.) Because there is an additional hole, they have added an additional seal for the extra hole. In my estimation, additional seals make for additional germ hiding places, so not thrilled to have the added seal here.

I really do enjoy this water bottle as I have two of them. They are light-weight and nice to take with me on my hikes. While I still would rate this as five stars, there are a couple of little things buyers should know about when purchasing as it's not a huge deal after I learned a couple of tricks.1.) When drinking, make sure to drink it with the lid facing away from your face - not to the side as water will spill out of the small hole on the top. Not sure why it's there, but it's on both bottles I've purchased.2.) I like to put electrolyte packets in my water, so the requires me to shake the bottle. Make sure when closing the lid that you also slide the lever on the front of the bottle, up until it clicks. This prevents water from leaking when you shake it.I really do enjoy the various color choices, the amount of water in the bottle, and times for when you should be finished drinking a certain amount of water. I would purchase more in the future.

Wow! Love this water bottle. This is our 2nd one, we did a tour of the Vatican and our guide took it saying it wasn't allowed. Which wasn't true. Anyway I loved this bottle so much I ordered a 2nd on when we returned to the states. The hook ring is super sturdy (other reviewers had issues with it). It fits on our tandem ebike bottle holder too. Also fits in our cars cup holder.

I’ve been using this bottle daily for a few weeks now and it’s solid. The straw makes it easy to drink from without tilting, and the flip top hasn’t leaked once. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and holds enough water for school or the gym. of course, it's very easy to clean as well and extremely easy to access.The only small downside is the lid sometimes squeaks when closing, but it doesn’t leak. Great value overall.

This is just what I was looking for in a reusable water bottle! I have to keep water available at all times, and I needed a bottle to fit the neoprene sling I bought years ago (you can find them on Amazon). I measured, to make sure it would fit!I also wanted a flip top that I could open one handed and protects the spout from dirt, dust, and germs! Also wanted a drinking hole instead of a straw. It has a slide lock to keep the lid from popping open.I do not think the handle would hold up if you used it to carry the bottle all of the time. I did not take a star off because I won’t be using the handle to carry.Very pleased with this purchase! It was a great price, perfect size, and had the features I wanted. I use it every day when working in the field.

Looking for the perfect water bottle…found it!! Lightweight, handle, spout, flip top, no leakage and fits in car cup holder.

The lid is a different design from the three I have purchased previously. Smaller opening, addition of an air hole, and different locking and opening mechanism. I preferred the prior designs I had.

I took this with me to the airport and used it during a 4-hour flight and an 8-hour layover in Vegas. Go through TSA with it empty and fill it with water afterwards. It's water-tight and secure. Slides into my backpack side pocket no problem. I dropped it a few times with no issues. I only wish I could easily get ice at the airport. EDIT: If there's a Dunkin' Donuts at the airport after you go through TSA, just ask and you can get ice for a nominal charge or free depending on location.EDIT: As far as this bottle, it went from being my favorite to my most hated. The rubber lid gasket disappeared somewhere at the airport on a subsequent trip and the bottle leaked all over my food when not kept upright. The gasket should stay in place and not randomly drop out when refilling. They advertise a "12-Month worry-free warranty" and a leak-proof guarantee, but the vendor has not responded to messages sent via their website. They claim to respond within 12 hours during normal weekdays, but they've not responded at all. Therefore, the manufacturer's warranty claims in this listing are false and misleading.EDIT 2: Back to 5 stars. After waiting over 4 weeks, Opard finally responded to my email and honored their warranty by sending out a brand new replacement bottle.

I bought two of these bottles as I had similar bottles previously which were brilliant. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism on the lid has been removed and the opening button gets knocked easily and leaks everywhere. Please add the locking mechanism back onto the lid!

So far I'm pleased with this water bottle. It has a few nice features such as the air hole, lock, and handle. The spout is small - if I stuck my pinky inside, I'm not sure it would come back out easily. I'm used to ones that are larger than my thumb but the air hole makes up for it. You still get good flow and air is not also trying to get in.The only thing I'm unsure about is the handle. I'm pretty sure the first time I drop it, that handle will break right off. I had my last water bottle for about 15 years before it finally cracked (Rubbermaid) and I just don't get the same feeling of robustness from this one. But we'll see ...
