I'm a size 7-8 women's sock - what size do I choose?

I wear women’s size 9 shoes & bought the men’s size 7-9 ankle socks that fit perfectly! Sooooo comfy, but no slippage or slide.

Do these last after several washings, Do they get holes through the bottom ?

They wash well and so far have not had any holes.
