Many thanks - Try a few but this one worked out for me
Compatible with my DAC and has increased the sound quality . Tried a few others that were supposedly compatible but were not.

Works!
Item arrived only 6 days after order, which is great. It feels heavy and sturdy. Most importantly - it actually works. I had to buy three adapters before finding one that does what it's supposed to. I think the volume is slightly lower when using it, but not by much.

Good with DAC
Bought this to use with my FiiO KA2 DAC and it works surprisingly well with it. It helped me so that I could use my 3.5mm headphone jack to put in it. I think it improves the sound quality, but I did need a combo jack for it to sound good, that was fine because I had one of those cables already.

Seriously be careful!
Whilst this item is a 4.4MM Balanced Male to 3.5MM Balanced Female adapter, you MUST understand that it’s use with an DAC/Amp (for use in the 4.4mm balanced port) will most likely cause serious damage to your DAC/Amp. It’s use for this purpose is dangerous, and I feel the seller ought to share this information in the item description as opposed to potentially misleading consumers. So please be careful!

NOT an Upgrade!
The sound quality using this plugged in to my iFi Zen DAC v2 balanced headphones socket was a lot lower than if I use the 1/4 inch to 3.5mm adapter, which came with the DAC, plugged in to the single-ended 1/4 jack socket. It is called an "Upgrade Cable" - not my experience! Also, why have half the conductors in copper?

Great cable adapter at a good price
I bought the 3.5 female to 4.4 male to plug into my DAC for balanced listening. First I want to say I’m not an audiophile. However I am serious about the best sound I can get for my money. Therefore I have better than average DAC/AMP/headphones/IEMs. (Over $1,200 to give an idea) So I’m not an expert but to me this did not degrade the sound at all. The cable adapter seems to be made of quality materials. I would think if handled properly this will last for years but I can say for source as I’ve had it less than a week.
