Starbucks VIA Ready Brew Coffee, Decaf Italian Roast, 50 Count, 5.8 Ounce

When we switched from regular freshly-ground bean coffee to decaf, we tried Via Instant decaf — and never went back to grinding beans! The taste and invigoration is just as good, and the ease and convenience cannot be beat. The price is a bit steep—but our fabulous bulletproof morning coffee at home is still way less expensive than a specialty coffee at any coffee shop. So far, we are willing to pay for convenience. Luckily we can now buy Via Italian Roast on Amazon, even as decaf. Earlier, we had to buy it at Starbucks shops overseas.

I was actually one of the first consumers to test this coffee, even before it was available. I was doing a job for a customer one day that happened to be a Starbucks employee. We of course were chatting about coffee when I admitted to her that I had made the switch to decaf. I had to come back the next day to finish the job and when I arrive, she presented me with the small box of little pouches. My first reaction was instant coffee? Yuck. She laughed and said just try it. I couldn’t believe it when I had the 1st cup. It tastes nothing like your grandmother‘s instant coffee. I’ve been a loyal user of this for many years now. It is so convenient to carry as well. Now you don’t have to worry if your friends will serve decaf. Just pop a few of these in your pocket and then when it’s time for coffee, just ask for hot water. The pouch makes a nice stirring stick too.

It’s handy, and the coffee actually tastes pretty decent.

This was an ok deal when I got it for $32 for 50 packets (used to get 12 for $6 at the store). The price is now $50, that’s outrageous. Even though this micronized coffee is absolutely the best kind of instant coffee and tastes great, l won’t support price gouging. For everyone complaining that the coffee was expired (or close to), coffee doesn’t just magically expire on the date printed on the box. Coffee will last for years as long as it’s kept cool, dry, and unopened. I have used Starbucks instant coffee‘s three years past the best by date with no reduction in quality. In a pinch I’ve even used those packets that got hard from heat and humidity and it was fine. The Starbucks coffee packets that you don’t want to use too far past the expiration are the ones with flavors, sugar, and especially dairy in them. But this coffee is simply micronized coffee grounds and nothing more.

As a coffee enthusiast who occasionally opts for decaf, I was pleasantly surprised by the Starbucks VIA decaf This 50-count package of 3.3-gram individual servings is not only convenient but also delivers a surprisingly robust and satisfying coffee experience. The flavor profile of the Decaf Italian Roast is impressive. The decaf process doesn't compromise on flavor; you can still savor the earthy, slightly spicy notes that make Italian roast coffee so delightful. Also this price on Amazon is the best you will ever find.

Love the product for it's portability for traveling and camping. Definitely use the recommended amount of water (8oz) for each packet if you expect to drink an Italian Roast result. I like the option of larger quantity and the somewhat decreased price per packet. Downside is that when they arrive out of date or close to it, they only get staler and staler over time. Upside is that they're still a decent cup of coffee out of date... I ordered March 2019, my sell by date was June 2019, much better than my last purchase.

I messed up and was suddenly out of my coffee - gasp! I ordered and got one day delivery the night before I would have had NO morning coffee. Thanks Amazon . I love starbucks Via; so convenient, portable, and very good. Not the flavor of freshly ground beans, but no one would expect it to be.
