Govee LED Strip Lights 10m RGB Colour Changing Lighting Strip with Remote and Control Box for Home TV Kitchen DIY Decoration, 2 Rolls of 5m

Got this as a present for my little sister, who had her eye on these for a while after a friend told her about them - Delivery was quick as expected from Prime and the box was presented in a much better fashion than I'd expected from LED lights, so that's always nice to see upon delivery 👌 Putting the lights up were rather simple - it was just a matter of choosing where you wanted them, then sticking them on. It comes with some little brackets that give extra support if you need it (which you can screw into the wall/surface or stick them on too) but we've just let the adhesive back of the lights do it's thing, and it does it's job perfectly fine so far. The lights come with the main "control box", which also has a strong adhesive back to stick on the wall, and the extension which you connect with it to plug it into a socket for it's power. There's also a cute little remote which weighs almost nothing and has plenty of lighting options including the ability to alter brightness, you can even make your own colours with the DIY options on the lower part of the remote! Unfortunately, the only downside is that you can only change the brightness of stagnant/still colours but I can see why it wouldn't exactly work well with the fade options - Otherwise awesome lights for the price!

These LED lights are fantastic and came quickly and were packaged well. They were easy to apply to the ceiling in my bedroom and look amazing! The 10m reel ran short around the length of my room so I bought another 10m reel knowing there was no way to connect them in sync and that I would have to use two separate remotes and only keep the lights on one solid colour but actually when I installed the second set, both sets of lights synced to the first remote. However if on a fade mode they aren't always in time in the circuit so don't rely on both sets matching up entirely. I would definitely recommend these lights they are bright and come with lots of different colours and modes.

I am really overjoyed with my purchase. The LED lights stuck to the edges of my mirror (which are velvet) with ease. They light up the entirety of my room from the level 3 of brightness and are easy to control from the remote control and Govee box. My only cons of the product would be that I wish there were more colour options/presets like a hot pink, baby pink, mustard etc and that I don't know how to use the DIY buttons to create said colours. I did have a problem with the remote at first, it wouldn't react to the sensor and therefore I could only change the LED light colour via the Govee box, however that was soon fixed after removing the battery from inside the remote, cleaning it and putting it back in correctly. For £19.99 I think it is an extremely reasonable price for this fantastic product, I really recommend purchasing it.

These were bought for my daughter, who loved them from the very first moment. They took only a few minutes to put up - we just used the tape on the lights themselves, and found we didn't need the extra "hooks" that were supplied with the lights. One thing to be aware of - these lights are in two strips of 5m, running off the same plug, not in one long strip of 10m. This works perfectly in my daughter's room, because of the location of the plug (we sent each half a different way around the ceiling), but may need to be borne in mind as regards use in other rooms. Unfortunately, after about 6 months, we hit the snag that a few others have reported, with a small section of the lights playing up - either displaying different colours from the rest of the product or not lighting up at all, depending on what colour you had selected. I approached Govee Customer Services to explain the problem. After a brief couple of exchanges (receiving an extremely prompt reply from Govee in each case), they arranged a replacement product, which arrived just a few days later. So impressive, since we are in the midst of Covid restrictions etc. The original lights were very easy to take down (I just pulled the end of the strips and they came away). The process did leave a few marks on the paintwork (I acknowledge that I wasn't as careful as I could have been in removing them, knowing that I was going to be putting the replacements up straight away). However, these would easily have been touched up if someone had needed to. If you are tempted, go for it! And thank you to Govee Customer Services for making my daughter so happy!

Brilliant

I am extremely impressed with this product. I bought similar LED strip lights from another seller and they did not work, so I was very skeptical when purchasing these. What filled me with hope was the packaging - it is sleek, well designed and overall looks legitimate. Of course, the product itself is the star of the show. The backing is extremely sticky and definitely does not look like it will come off any time soon! The cable is white so will blend in to white walls better than the black cable of which comes with other LED lights that stick out like a sore thumb. The large range of colours are very vibrant and pretty. These lights are great for their money and are a great buy. My only issue is the remote control: obviously you need to be quite close to the sensor for it to work, which is fairly irritating as the sensor is attached to the power switch which I have hidden down the side of my bed. It is not too much of an issue however, so do not let it put you off buying this product - it's great! I highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a product like this.

Bought 2 x sets of these lights in December last year. First set worked absolutely fine. During lockdown we decorated my sons room and finally put up the second set. Unfortunately the lights seemed faulty. They only cycled through red, green and blue and the fade option didn’t work at all, flashing the lights through all the colours very fast. We tried the remote control from the first set and the lights worked perfectly!! I contacted the seller to enquire where I could get a second control and to ask if they had any advice (not hoping for much as I’d originally bought the lights in December 19). They were amazing! I exchanged a couple of emails with the seller trying to fault find but when they quickly came to the same conclusion as me (the remote was faulty) they sent me a new set completely free!!! They even followed up making sure I’d got them and enquired as to whether I’d got the lights up and that they were working fine! I couldn’t me happier with the service from this seller... outstanding and I would definitely recommend them. I buy a LOT of items from Amazon and this seller is second to none!!

The lights are fairly easy to install, you can cut it to size along the specified gold bits on the strip, and the sticky back seems to be holding up fine. The LEDs are nice and bright but I started having an issue with the remote and controller box just a few hours after installation. Firstly, the lights won't turn off! Pressing the power button on either the end controller box or remote just turns the lights to red. To turn them off completely I have to switch them off at the plug, not ideal when the plug is difficult to get to behind a cabinet. I also don't seem to be able to turn down the brightness, the brightness buttons on the remote just changes the colour. E.g. if I'm on blue, turning the brightness down just makes it go purple then pink. Not sure if that's a fault or just how the lights are supposed to work? The instructions don't include much detail on how to use the remote. So all in all these are OK, but I probably would have bought different ones if I'd known about this issue.
