C.K T1260 Automatic Cable & Wire Stripper, Green|yellow|brown|grey

As I am new to control panel building, I was recommended this cable stripper by a friend. They are excellent. They feel solid, and although they are plastic, it is a strong and heavy plastic. They strip the singles with ease, and the length adjuster is very handy. The cable cutter being on top is also a good design, making it easier to see where you are cutting, in comparison to some I have seen that have the cutter at the bottom of the device. All in all so far so good and I would recommend.

extremely overpriced , i only got these as i had a voucher and no idea what to get , im a full time electrician , these are still going , just to be clear and to avoid breaking , don't use these on old cable and dont use them on anything bigger than 2.5 twin. works fantastic on new 1.5 and 2.5 twin

I have a few wire stripping tools in my kit, I like this one because it's light and reliable, but, I noticed that it tends to struggle a little more on thinner gauge wires. It's great for Romex/T+E cable and for sheathes on any kind of control or network cable, but the small conductors, just, no.Performs well, comparable to my rock-solid reliable Stanley Fatmax, and I have a Tempo/Greenlee/Paladin StripAx 6 Pro for thinner conductors that's virtually infoulable.Overall, if you do house wiring/commercial wiring, totally rocks in the T+E/Control cable/automotive arena, this is a good piece of kit and I'm very satisfied. By the way, this is the identical tool to a Knipex automatic wire stripper (there are many variants, but, the one that looks identical to this one), except at lesser cost.

I bought this for work and use week in week out and on 50 90 120 cable and after multiple useage still using the same blade after 12 months it is sturdy compact and does the job required.

Don't bother with these. Stick to the metal ones. The cut of sheath is not clean and is temperamental with the type of cable you are cutting. As you can see with the standard 1.5 T&E in the pictures attached. This happens more often than not.Not easy to store as it's a clumsy shape which does not fit into a pocket in your tool bag so all in all, a poor design and for the extra cost, your getting a worse product compared to metal ones, which cost around £20. These are unfortunately a £54 loss for me. I don't see CK reaching out to me to put what's wrong right. On the other hand, Knippex replaced a broken cutters after a year without quibble.

Not great, the grips bite into the cable and leave exposed copper in places you don’t want it.

Great or flat twin an earth, nyy cables, but be careful. Do not strip cat5/6 cables as it peels the insulation of the conductors causing fault on termination
