Will Makita or Hitachi batteries fit this? Or does anyone know if there is an adapter?

Hi there! Makita batteries will not fit. Hitachi or Metabo HPT slide batteries, however, will fit this tool. Metabo HPT is the new brand name for Hitachi PowerTools - same tools, new name!
