[updated] review of both lantern and stand type work lights
[for stand type] This work light has two brightness modes, the manual claims first setting is 20% and the second is 100%, but I think its more like 40% and 100%. I didnโt have any tools to measure the lumen output, but this is sort of supported since the battery life is between 2 and 5 hours according to the manual, and if I assume 2 hours at 100%, then 5 hours is at 40%. The most distinct feature compare to the other one is the angle is adjustable and it can work like a kind of spotlight. You can virtually set it at any degrees from 0(flat on the surface) to 90 (vertical), if you try it a few times you can even achieve angles more than 90ยบ. This is something the lantern version cannot do. It has a build in 2200mah 80650 battery, uses micro usb for charging and has a usb out for charging other devices with the build in battery, which is nice if youโre in a pinch and needs to charge something. It also has a compartment for 3 AA batteries, in case of the build in battery is drained and you need it to function without charging. A nice touch in emergencies, but since it can also be used while charged, a power bank will be my preferred method. Initially the handle/stand is kinda loose and When I set it on a surface with small angles it will move under the influences of gravity, but after tighten the 2 screws on each side of the handle/stand, the problem went away. Overall if you want a weather resistant emergency light with more brightness control, go the for โlanternโ one. If you want directional lighting, smaller footprint and only use it indoors, go for the the โstandโ type [for lantern type] This light has some good features. It can be turned on on one side only, and has 3 different brightness levels, so total of 6 total lumen output level. It has a plastic shell, a metal cage around the leds, and four powerful magnets at base for it to stick to metal surfaces. I can stick it on the fridge door and open fridge by pulling on the light handle. A build in 2200mah battery, which the manual said will last 4-6 hours on a single charge. I havenโt tested it yet but it should be in that ball park. The light come with a 5v 1a charger and state charging them is 3 hours, I wonder if that can be improved by using a 2a charger. It claims weatherproof. Although I wouldnโt believe this would work under water, the enclosed design should withstand some wet elements. A silicone cover for the charging port and a silicone gasket around the base (I saw it after opening up the base by unscrew the 4 screws at the bottom) let me believe this is at least splash resistant. Manual says 500 lumen at 5000k, which I believe are real specs after comparing to a 500 lumen bulb. 5000k temperature means the white light is colder than regular โwarm whiteโ 2700k light bulbs at home and closer to sunlight at noon. The manual also says not to use this while charging, but I have tested that it does work when plugged in, so theoretically you could connect a power bank to extend the working time, but Iโm not sure if this will damage the lamp. Although I doubt it. It also has a usb our port to use the internal battery to charge devices, According to my usb voltage meter, it will provide at least 5v 1a of charging power. It can be used to charge phone and power light at the same time! Overall I am please with this product. No more jerry rigging a led desk lamp and a power bank to work on my car anymore!

Good product, very useful
In order to take the children to camp, I bought this light, which is really convenient and practical. The size of the lamp is small and easy to store. The lighting is also very good, my favorite is that the brightness of the lamp can be adjusted, the light is very gentle. There is also a usb charging function that can charge the phone at any time.

Helped us find out who was stealing the hensโ eggs
Such a useful light! We have used it for many things, from investigating a noise in the chicken pen (a possum stealing eggs), to lighting up the guysโ electrical work when they had the power breakers turned off. Darkness comes early in November, so they also used it when the sun set before the oil change was finished. There are three brightness settings and the ability to have lights on only one side or all the way around. The magnet is useful when working on the car. We keep the light hanging on a nail near a back door, where it can be conveniently grabbed. We havenโt had the battery run low while using it and have charged it just one time after extended use (the possum discovery).

Nice bright light
The brightness is a very good and useful product. Need to remember to charge every 3 months. Didn't notice any motion detection though.

Continues to work well
Brighter than any flashlight or Coleman battery operated lantern previously owned and it stays charged for months. I have had it over 4 months now to use at night after my dog does his nightly business on a dedicated area in backyard. So I turn it on and off once a day and have only charged it once since... worth the money especially given the UBS charger which saves money as no more battery purchases!

Okay In A Pinch
We have had several weather related outages lately and can expect more. Since I am not comfortable using candles, I wanted an alternative light and power source. I have a heavy duty flashlight with USB but wanted and additional light and power source do this item looked good. However, it is just not bright enough and charging itself and other devices takes awhile. So, itโs an ok purchase.

Very bright little lantern! ๐
I really like this little lantern! It has two or three brightness levels, a choice of lighting sides (360 or 180), it is rechargeable and you can charge your phone with it! It also has a powerful set of magnets on the bottom if you want to stick it under your car hood for repairs or use it on a car roof if you are tailgating. I will probably order more for gifts!

Really handy
Light level is decent but not great. Being able to light only one side is great. The magnetic base is a great feature. I was able to change the transmission fluid and filter in my tractor last night and it was super helpful illuminating the work without shining at me. I anticipate finding lots of use for this camping.
