Blendin Stainless Steel Blender Jar and Lid, Compatible with Oster and Osterizer

This is lightweight. It's much lighter than my glass container and it's surprising easy to handle, despite not having handles. The blender shape tapers and is very easy to grasp securely. One reason I gave it 5 stars is because, it is so easy to handle and so lightweight. This is a 5 cup blender, with "cup markers" located on the inside of the container. The lid fits down into this blender like a suction. None of the contents will fly all over your countertop when using. This is a great all around container and wonderful for making shakes and smoothies. You can toss the container in the freezer before using. It makes for really creamy and cold shakes and for non sticky cheese grating. When blending hot items, you will definitely need a potholder for handling. Not having handles makes for better balance and control when pouring out your contents. This stainless jar is lightweight, so some care is still needed. If banged around too much, this container will dent. I have a glass container and I have this. I use this for cold items and grinding foods. I use my glass jar for hot items. This container fits my Beehive Series 4096 blender... perfectly! Yes, with a metal base, this is one sleek looking blender on your countertop. Very attractive.

This is a great product, I had it with another Oster blender years ago. I chipped the glass container that came with the model I have now. Only thing you have to watch is if you put in a hot liquid, the container with get hot, use pot holders. If you put in a cold or icy liquid, it stays really cold, which everyone seems to like. There is no handle, like the glass container, which I personally like. I think it's a great product, must have for people who like to make slushies or iced drinks or people who blend up soups or other hot items. Edited 3/16/15 A lot of people don't understand the stainless steel blender product is great. Easy top clean, over 40 oz, it's a great product. You don't have metal chips or BPA, or other headaches. It's very cool to touch, beautiful product

Product was warped around the top. It also has somekind of spike that sticks you every time you try to hold it. Not a very good device to make any smoothies or anything else. Use glass and be happy because stainless steel does give you any special process in its use.

The stainless steel is easy to clean, keeps liquids cold, can handle hot things too. The only thing I would warn folks about is that if you have very small hands it might be hard to grab hold of (there is no handle). I leave it in the freezer before I make smoothies and it keeps everything nice and cold. Oh, and if you don't already know this (I'm sure you do), don't use bleach or cleaners with bleach on stainless - it will pit the metal. But I love this thing and yay, it's UNBREAKABLE! (Can you guess why I needed to order a new carafe?)

It looks identical to my original oster “jar”, except there are no measurements inside. The true oster jar weighs a couple of pounds, while this replacement only weighs a couple of ounces. I worry it’s going to get dented because it is so thin and light. Still looking for an original, for a backup or for my other ostrrizer motor. It seems like they can’t be found anymore. It’s a shame because these are the greatest blenders ever. We had the same one when I used to bartend

I bought this same product a few years ago when my original blender jar for my Oster blender broke. I've loved the style and functionality of this product, so I bought one for my sister after her original blender jar broke as well. It's way better than the glass version, and was an excellent purchase to restore functionality of a blender that was just sitting around in the pantry.

This was replacing the stainless Steel one that originally came with my Oster Bar / Kitchen Blender. It will work but lacks the Measurement markings that were found in my original and the lid seems flimsey. But it will work for what I need it to do. which is allow the kids to make milk shakes without the fear of them dropping the glass jar.

This is a great product. It was nicely packaged and arrived promptly. Important that you know before you purchase this jar that it does not include the base cap or blade. You have to transfer the ones from your blender. It works great! The only reason, I rated it 4 stars is because I recieved two of these jars by mistake and seller does not offer a free shipping return policy. I am stuck with an extra stainless steel jar that I do not need and also charged for it. I do not feel like going to the post office and having to deal with this shipping.
