I bought this in advance of actually needing it. I got sidetracked. Today I needed it for a project. It can't even play a simple CD. Any CD. I keep getting prompted to insert a disc. Worthless piece of junk. The name of the company is not even on the box or the instructions. Absolutely worthless piece of junk. I'm out of my money too because it's too late to return. God forbid I expect something to work as promised without rigorously testing it the day it comes in.

This has been a really great and easy way to watch stuff on my computers. No need for setup or anything, it just shows up. As long as you have the proper software to watch your stuff, this will work.

This was purchased to replace an older DVD player that died. I am in the process of copying our DVD collection onto a server, so it's getting heavy use. The drive has performed well. It is a little noisier than my old one but has not had some of the idiosyncrasies of the former unit that was causing recording failures. I am happy with my purchase.

this worked without any hitch

Been using it for over a year. Just started to see now how it doesnt work right. I plug it in and most of the time theres no light indicating that its functioning. When im able to get it open, it takes the disc and it does not read the disc nor let me open it again. I have to keep pressing eject and repluging the device for it to come back. Im not sure if i got a faulty device or not, but i should not have to do that.

Now I can borrow old dvd from library and watch it on my laptop! USB and type-c included. Easy to use, convenient, fluent video and sound.

I've had this product for close to two years now if I recall, so admittedly I may have been spared from the rest of the customers who have purchased the disc drive. I have only used the drive periodically, and usually when I do use it it has never failed. Until yesterday that is. The disc drive is utterly picky when it wants to work now and I doubt its due to bad storage since I usually placed it in a drawer, from far my unwitting reach. Several times my laptop cannot recognize the disc and just leave a link to a supposed empty disc drive, sometimes when I do play a film it may no longer recognize the disc. Wait too long and it may not work at all. Unfortunately I cannot say that this product is reliable, since my periodic use may have been a factor in how long the drive has worked. I can only say it can work for you from out of the box, but how long it lasts is rather poor. One star.

Really nice I’ve had a few disk players in my time all had same problem , you had too hold in a certain way to open the tray no problem with this

Good blue ray drive! I haven’t received my blue rays yet but I have tried the drive with my dvds and it works great. It has both USB and type c port which makes it much easier for me because my laptop only has type c port. The drive it light and very easy to use. It looks stylish too. Overall very happy with the purchase!

Poor quality build. Do not recommend. After lots of trial and error trying to get this Blu Ray drive to work, my son and I discovered that there must be a loose connection or solder internal to the unit. We have to hit the side of the unit softly to turn on. Just plugging it in as per the directions doesn't work - we tried for hours with every permutation of USB ports and power blocks ... it only powers on seemingly at random. But a soft/sharp hit on the side will suddenly turn the device on and it works fine.

Le coloqué el disco Blu ray totalmente nuevo y no logra leerlo, el disco que inserté es Region Free así que, no es por tema de bloqueo por región, sino que la unidad intenta leer el disco pero no puede, lo compré hace 15 días y ahora empezó a mostrar esa falla
