desertcart.com: Alinsea Screen Protector Compatible for S10 Plus/+ Tempered Glass [Full Adhesive] [Fingerprint Sensor Compatible] [3D Glass] [Case Friendly] 9H Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus/+ Review: Best tempered glass screen protector I've ever purchased for a curved-screen Smartphone - This is by far the best tempered glass screen protector I've owned for a curved-edge smartphone. I've been using tempered glass curved-edge screen protectors since the Samsung S8+...most adhered around the edges and would pop or lift off within a few weeks, or would reduce touchscreen sensitivity to the point where the touchscreen was unusable. This screen protector fit my S10+ like a glove, and it definitely does not affect touchscreen sensitivity whatsoever. It uses LOCA, liquid optically clear adhesive, (same glue Samsung uses to adhere their "gorilla" glass to the LCD), which is a urethane acrylic adhesive designed for smartphones and adhering glass to LCD's. The LOCA adhesive ensures that the glass screen protector adheres to the entire screen, not just the edges. I was very skeptical of this product at first, considering it used an adhesive that requires UV light to properly cure. However, after following the included step-by-step instructions, cleaning the screen, etc., the install went flawlessly, and I had zero problems. No bubbles at all. I was able to easily make slight adjustments to center cutout on the screen protector over the front camera properly, which is what should be used as a guide to ensure the entire screen protector is centered properly. Once the screen protector is centered over the screen, the key is to put NO pressure on it - let it rest over the adhesive (use the ENTIRE bottle), and the adhesive will automatically work its way out from center to edges, underneath the entire screen protector. Installation took about 10 minutes total. Most of that time was spent using the included UV light to cure the LOCA glue, which dries and adheres the screen protector within a few minutes. The screen protector lined up beautifully on the S10+, and it's definitely case-friendly. No problems with my Spigen Tough Armor case. There's enough of a gap around the edges to prevent the case from putting any pressure on the screen protector. I've also never seen a screen protector look so clear and flawless after installation. The only slight drawback (any tempered glass screen protector would reduce sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor) is the fingerprint sensor - you do have to use more pressure and/or keep your finger over the sensor longer to get it to work. Make sure you remove any fingerprints you might have added before installing this screen protector, or they won't work. Add new finger prints with the screen protector fully installed. The fingerprint sensor WILL work just fine, but you'll need to use some extra pressure to have them read properly. You'll find that other tempered glass screen protectors will have a hole cut out for the fingerprint sensor - this is NOT ideal because the cut-out will make it more difficult to angle your fingers in different positions during the initial fingerprint setup. I recommend avoiding any tempered glass screen protectors that have cut-out holes for the fingerprint sensor. Additionally, once the LOCA has cured underneath the tempered glass, I would not advise attempting to remove it (unless it breaks from a drop, etc.). LOCA is fairly strong and not easily removable after it cures. For all this screen protector does so well, the extra pressure for fingerprint reading is not a big deal, and certainly not a reason to pass this one up. Follow the step-by-step instructions, watch the videos Alinsea has posted on Youtube prior to attempting the installation, and make sure your screen is 100% clean/dust-free before you start. 5 stars for adhesion, clarity, ease of installation, fit, and fingerprint sensor compatibility. Review: Fingerprint Reader No Longer Works - I want to like this screen protector. It is a very interesting approach to issues that I have had for years with screen protectors - bubbles and pulling up on a curved screen. The process for installation allows for better control to prevent bubbles. I believe that even dust wouldn't larger affect the application because it would become embedded in the UV glue during setting. Additionally, because you cure the glue, you can ensure that the side are full sealed. If you decide to get the protector after I point out the one item below, I would caution you to very carefully clean and remove excess liquid glue around the screen and on the phone before curing - not too much but a little - even before the first 3 minute curing. The reason for my one star review and reason it is already in the trash is that the fingerprint registration, even with retraining it doesn't work anymore. Not sure it that is causes by too much cured glue under the screen or just incompatible with the phone but is a no-go for me. Maybe others will have better luck. Maybe I should have squeezed a bit more liquid out before cure. Not sure but I am moving on. Cheers!

Fingerprint Reader No Longer Works

Excellent product, no sensitivity or fingerprint issues. Crystal clear, smooth screen.
when I bought this product I had no idea it was going to require liquid and that would have really scared me off if I knew it, but I'm glad I didn't because this was really easy to do and it worked great. I read the instructions, then I watch the video they tell you too much, then I did the installation. Following directions exactly made it come out perfect. I did get a little bit of excess glue on the outsides that I had to pick off with a fingernail. Some of the adhesive covered the front camera lens, I thought I was in big trouble but using the alcohol pad and a little bit of fingernail work I got it all off and it's perfectly clear. I redid my fingerprint and have absolutely no problem with sensitivity or fingerprint reading. My screen feel so much cleaner and smoother and it looks brighter. I did have one little chip in the glass but when I put the adhesive on it filled it and now you can't even tell it's there. I was highly intimidated by all of the parts and pieces of this install but whoever created this whole package did an amazing job because they gave great instructions and you can follow them exactly and everything will come out perfectly and you will be very happy.

Probably the best of the cheapest for S10/Plus
TL;DR: Pros: - Actually glass, not film. No hole in the middle. Feels fantastic. - Lasted a lot longer than other "tempered" glass screen protectors. - Fingerprint sensor still works if you install it correctly. Cons: - If it breaks, expect to spend some time with alcohol wipes picking glued-on bits of glass screen protector off your phone. - Lengthy and complicated installation, especially compared to other types of screen protectors. There are a lot of S10 screen protectors on Amazon that are outright scams, claiming a given hardness but shattering at the slightest impact. This is not one of those. There are others that either break the fingerprint reader, feel like gross film, or have an ugly hole in the middle of the phone. This is not one of those, either. This one's actually pretty good, though installation is a convoluted chore and if it breaks, removal is difficult. I'm on my second Alinsea screen protector. The first lasted about ten months before it started to develop cracks, which is about nine months better than most protectors on Amazon that claim to be tempered glass. Despite that, my experience with it overall was pretty good - it looked and felt like it wasn't there, and it protected my screen for when I occasionally dropped my phone. I mucked up the installation of my first one, probably pressed the screen at the wrong time, and had a few tiny air bubbles; this broke the fingerprint reader, but I honestly don't really care. Gesture unlock works fine. When it did eventually start to develop cracks it didn't display a shatter pattern - just individual lines here and there. And when I finally removed it, it left very small bits behind. This is one of the few negative marks I'll give it - if and when it does break, removing it *will* leave tiny bits still glued to the screen, and these are not easy to remove. They've improved the installation process in the last year. They're now providing extra guide tools (make sure you follow the link in the provided paper instead of just googling for an instruction video!) which help, and I can confirm that this time around I have no air bubbles and that my finger print sensor actually works. But installation takes a *long* time if you're being careful and want to make sure you don't mess it up, so set aside a good half-hour or more and be sure to familiarize yourself with the instructions *before* starting, then follow along with them again during installation. Overall? I'm happy with this. It does the job, lasted a good long while, and my fingerprint sensor surprisingly still works. In my view the cons in general amount to "spend a little bit more time and have a better experience long-term." Your alternatives are a filmy protector that feels like cling wrap, a hole in your screen, a broken fingerprint sensor, a flimsy scammy piece of glass that isn't as hard as advertised, or some combination of the lot. Or you could spend 3x as much on a similar screen option that also involves a convoluted installation and is probably a little tougher. But this is definitely the best of the cheapest.

Works well but had a hard time installing
Update: I was able to get the corners to stick a little bit better after I recured the glass. It is still not perfect but much better. Also, I find the touch screen is very responsive and my taps are easily registered on my screen when playing phone games. I might be inclined to buy again since the functionality of the glass is fantastic, but I would most likely put the glass on right before bed and let it sit overnight. Original Post I bought 2 of these protectors for me and the wife. I was unaware that you needed to use a glue adhesive to get the glass to stick but that was not too big of a deal. I watched the video 3 times over and decided that that was enough to give it a go. When I laid the glass on (right side first left side last) I had a big bubble in the center of my screen. The instructions do say do not remove the glass after laying it down, but I could not get the bubble to go away. So I lifted the left side and then let it settle back on to the screen. This caused there to be even more bubbles. Since there is only some much adhesive that comes with it I had to toss the first one as a loss. I took the second one and followed the steps again and everything seemed to go well this time. No bubbles that I could see. I used the UV light to cure the glass as instructed. I let my phone sit for about another 3 minutes after I was done. I put my Otter box defender case back on the phone. I noticed a little while later that the bottom corners were already coming up undone. My otter box is keeping the corners in place but it is noticeable. When it comes to the use of my phone everything responds as it did before. Besides the rough installation, the glass seems to be of good quality.

Overall perfect - works with fingerprint sensor
EDIT2: I am very impressed with the quality of this protector. This is my 3rd replacement as the last one cracked after regular use and drops (protected my phone screen for 2 years straight!). I have yet to find one like this for the price. Good job Alinsea. EDIT: Phone has fallen several times with no damage to the protector and fell again but this time screen down on concrete. The protector handled it very well; I can still use the screen, the cracks are barely visible with the screen on, and the sensor still works. After about a month of regular use, the edges of the protector surrounding the screen and the camera are getting a lot of tiny air bubbles, but this doesn't affect my experience so I'm still happy. ORIGINAL: Perfect installation. Followed all instructions carefully. Works with Spigen case. Fingerprint sensor works after making a new one. What I love most is that it comes with an oleophobic coating that resists oil and makes it easy to type. Without this, it was impossible to type as the coating wore off on my original screen after 6 months of use. Perfect screen protector for this phone and will definitely buy again for another phone.

The Best Screen Protector
I installed this today on a customer's S10 Plus and I am extremely pleased at the end result. The screen protector is firmly secured and there's no rainbow effect. It was easy to install, just that you need to have a LOT of patience, AND you need to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER. They suggest a total of eight (8) minutes to run the UV light so that it would cure properly, I did a bit extra and went for about 10 to 12 minutes. Once you do, you'll have a high quality product installed, that's sure to offer you increased protection and add value to your phone. My customer was extremely pleased afterward, and best of all, the fingerprint scanner works without any issues, just remember after you install the screen protector, follow the instructions to remove it and re-add your fingerprints. The only thing I noticed is that there's an ever so tiny delay when the fingerprint scanner scans your print, but it works. All in all, a great product and one that I would highly recommend to anyone purchasing an S10 Plus that needs added protection for their device.

Appeared to work but then didn't
I didn't like the idea of pouring glue (or whatever it is) on my expensive phone screen but after watching the videos and reading other reviews I decided to do it. I watched the videos several times to make sure I would do it correctly. I could do another install if I had to now that I have done it but the first time I was pretty nervous. The accessories they include were impressive (protective patches for the phone, UV light, gloves). I don't think they forgot anything so I was impressed with that. I had read mixed reviews about the fingerprint sensor working after installation. The installation went well and I followed every step to the "T". I followed the reset steps for the fingerprint scanner but I could never get the sensor to read any of my fingers, even after pressing really hard or waiting a week or so (as other users had stated). I have a very protective case and it seemed to work with it. Suddenly, about 2 weeks after installation I noticed the entire corner coming off of the protector. I am returning the product for 2 reasons: fingerprint scanner no longer works and screen starting to peel off after less than 2 weeks. It could be good product and protect really well but I'm not willing to give it another try.
