Did this make anybody else skimmer go crazy after putting in the tank? Im getting all kinds of micro bubbles from my pumps now too.

Yes. It's the initial bacteria die off that causes that. You should rinse the rock thoroughly in RODI water before adding to your tank to avoid this.

Is there a wide variety of sizes and shapes among the rocks?

Yes and you can always break bigger pieces

Is this rock or sand??? Description and title are conflicting

Supposed to be the rock. I had ordered it and ended up with 40 lbs of sand, told Amazon about it and they fixes the issue and sent me the rock

Since this is not natural live rock how is it cultured to get the coraline algae?

Real aragonitic base rock with live spored bacteria, shipped dry. At an unprecedented 50% void space (macro and micro), you will be hard pressed to find a durable natural rock that has this magnitude of porosity.
