I had to break the drawer to open it. The problem is that the emergency power requires a circuit through the batteries in the unit. If that circuit is broken - either by corrosion, or the batteries popping out, there is no way to operate the lock and you'll have to break the cabinet to open it.

No illustrations or ininstalation instructions.
It is a nice looking set up but with no installation instructions and no illustrations, the install is more difficult than it should be. The hardware included was not adequate. The mounting screws were too short for both the key pad and the latch. I would buy it again because the system is perfect for my application.
