Suggestion and Ballot Box, Locking, Includes Pocket for Envelopes, 8.5" x 11" Sign Holder (Black Metal)

A very nice solid box that we are using to obtain addresses etc. for our mailing list. I did use hardware other than what was supplied to fasten to the wall. I also added an additional mounting hole near the bottom of the box as it would just lift off the fasteners otherwise. When I put my sign in the acrylic sign holder I also used some double faced tape or it would not stay in position.

Perfect for our needs. I loved the information area on top and slot on side for ballots and pens.

We’ve only begun to use it but this seems very durable and suitable to our needs, which is for a monthly peer recognition program. I love the slot for our nomination cards and the 8.5”x11” display case (which is in the bottom of the shopping box with a cardboard piece over it. You’ll miss it if you don’t know it’s there). The support for the display case is a little off center so the display is a little crooked. That’s the reason it’s not 5 stars...presentation is everything.

Nice large box but seriously what idiot sells the keys to a lock inside the unit? Glad I like brain puzzles, I got through it with 10 minutes and a needle nose pliers.1. There's a plasic baggie inside with the keys, and some wall mounting screws. Rock the box back and forth till you can reach it and use the pliers to rip into the bag, separate the keys and let them fall loose.2. The keys are on a key ring, you won't be able to get it out on it's own without risking bending the hell out of the box. Rock the box back and forth more till you get the key ring to show and pull it outside the box slot, the pliers may help. Use the pliers to bend the key ring apart and let the keys fall loose within the box.3. Now you should have two loose keys within the box along with the other screws and crap. Rock the box back and forth till you get one of the keys in view. Grab the tip of the key with the pliers, and rotate your angle to let the key fall through the slot.Or you can do what I also considered, return it and buy something else. But now I don't need to deal with any kind of customer service.

Box is sturdy and what we needed. However, the plastic sign insert did not come with the package. Pretty irritated we have to buy another part, that should have come with it In the first place.

We just received the box, which we needed for a nonprofit event tomorrow. THE KEYS ARE LOCKED INSIDE THE BOX. We are not able to use the box. It’s just crazy.

I am a committee member for an annual reunion held for graduating classes from 1970-1979 in our town. We have a Memorial Service one night and a DJ. The second night we have an all you can eat buffet and a live band. We do it all by DONATION ONLY. The previous 6 years we have just used a restaurant size plastic jug with a screw on lid. This is going to work MUCH BETTER because we will have a sign in the top stating it is for donations, and, we can keep it secure by having the lock. THIS IS PERFECT and I am looking forward to putting it good use in September at our 7th annual reunion!

Can I give this zero stars? The side panel is NOT removable, as advertised. And the keys came locked inside the box. How do I open the locked box if the keys are inside?
