Thin. NOT for heavy duty handling
you know, like your typical American-made hand saw. If you manhandle this, it will bend. It is, however, very forgiving on the learning curve.I’d wanted one of these for a LONG time, I thought, and for the price, needing something to make flush cuts in wooden plugs - and a LOT of trim/molding I found out later - I thought I’d buy one.First off, this is SHARP! First day, right out of the package, I somehow managed to cut my palm on the blade and I didn’t even feel it, just noticed red on my hand. Give this a LOT of respect. The cut on PULL design took about five seconds to get used to. It’s counterintuitive to how western saws work but once you use it, you’ll wonder why ALL saws aren’t made this way. Push-pull, different philosophies, same net result - this just seems easier. What I find this most useful for is making very fine, very thin cuts in wood trim and molding where the use of a handsaw would be awkward, or a chopsaw not giving me the fine control I need for smaller cuts or on smaller pieces of wood. This is very comfortable in the hand and makes very accurate cuts - the kerf is so fine I have to get higher power reading glasses to make sure I’m cutting ON or next to a 0.5mm mechanical pencil line - not that a cut that thin would make that much difference in fitting on the kind of stuff I work on, but I like to know where I’m cutting. This is small enough, light enough, to fit in your tool bag and get lost in there. One tip, and I don’t know for sure if this is stainless or not, but I folded a piece of paper in the plastic tube it came packaged in then soaked it with an anti-rust product. Cheap insurance and less chance of the teeth getting dinged/dented/dulled.One of my favorite tools now. Collect the set, save ‘em, trade ‘em!

Cuts fast and clean
Very sharp. Cuts fast and clean. But, it is very, very, very thin. You have to be careful with it so it doesn’t bend or break.

Great Quality Tool
First rate quality at a very decent price. The blade performs extremely well and having a soft and hard wood option on the same blade is a plus.

Cuts perfectly

Very flexible and sharp
This saw allows you to cut very close to the wood without damaging the surface. The blade is flexible enough to keep the handle also away from the surface.

Super Sharp
Bought 2 of these SUIZAN Flush Cut Saws a coarse and a fine, this one is the fine, I think, don't see the other one here. Both are very sharp cut great, leave a smooth finish. VERY sharp, handle with care, like small versions of the tri-cut blades I got for trimming trees, also Japanese I think, no more chainsaw needed.
