Purchased almost 5 years ago and still running great, will buy another if this one ever fails.

My wife and I are in our 50's. We finally decided to replace the 10 year old laptop we were using as our home computer. We found this PC on Amazon. We were skeptical about the low price, but decided to take a chance after reading reviews and shopping around for a couple of weeks. The package arrived on time, intact, and very easy to set up. It has been running for about a week now and has performed well beyond our needs for a home computer. I would highly recommend this PC for anyone looking for a solid computer at a great price.

Wanted to get a new machine up and running before my old XP machine bit the dust. It is up and running and my XP still hasn't bitten the dust, but its days are numbered. Anyway..... computer came in a small box with one small sheet of directions. The shipping box isn't that great and it had shifted in the box so what small amount of padding there was didn't really protect the computer. Arrived OK, but it could have been damaged if it was mishandled by delivery. The front panel is a little wonky as far as it being off-track, but it's OK. Also, wi-fi dongle doesn't work with my modem. Doesn't matter to me as I just plugged it in to my modem, but it may be an issue to someone else who would just assume it would work. It did wi-fi up with my printer which was great as I already have it plugged into my other computer. The machine fired right up with no problems. It's quiet (real quiet), has a small footprint, and is fast and its specs match up. It also really is clear of bloatware so it fires up quickly. One other thing, it does not have an HDMI input, so your monitor has to be old-schooled. For me, the computer is great. All the issues that I mentioned that might give someone else pause, aren't big issues for me. I feel like I got my money's worth and am happy. I gave it 4 stars as the wi-fi didn't work (at least with the modem), and some of the other minor issues I mentioned, but if you're pretty easy going on some stuff like me, I think you'd be happy.

Needed to upgrade my home PC since I'm working from home. I rarely used my old one, which was old and slow. This arrived on time and worked just fine right out of the box. Setup took less than 15 minutes. The keyboard and mouse that came with it were pretty low end (and it doesn't come with a monitor) but I just stuck with my old ones. Very pleased with the speed and capabilities of this PC for the price

I ordered a Refurbished Dell Optiplex 990 as per this product states. However, I received a Dell Optiplex 790. Similar in specs, but not the same. But the 790 works fine for what I bought it for (mother-n-law PC) and I immediately swapped the standard hard drive with a SSD drive, so performance is more than enough. 3 stars for the fact that it is not the exact product listed that I received.

Properly package for shipping.Excellent cosmetic condition.Booted right up, specs are as listed.Included WiFi adapter and power cable work just fine as well.Overall I would definitely recommend purchasing for this seller.Although I didn’t need it, I appreciated the little setup wizard they install to help you setup WiFi and learn about your warranty.

There is nothing I dislike about this unit. Delivery prompt. Packaged securely with minimal plastic stuff. Clean machine, does not look used at all. Plugged it in worked just fine from the get go even with, expected, delay for Windows 10 update. Even tho I am a long time user of Word I won't go to the expense of installing Office. But unit does come with its own free version of Office which seems just fine for my needs. Even tho I purchased the extended warranty I doubt I'll ever need it. Could've saved. Cannot understand negative reviews, or even why if you were having problems with a new machine you would try to solve it by taking cover off machine rather than directly calling the company; they certainly include enough information on how to contact them.

This computer is a piece of crap! I purchased it for my mother to basically use email and Facebook. I got this pc in fall and my mother did not start using it until January when she got back into town. All she gets is aw snap in google and when going to edge it just reboots with a Microsoft error. I spoke with customer service after leaving 3 messages and the lady on the phone who likes to think she is tech support was yelling at me and telling me this is a refurbished computer and basically they can’t help me. There is no customer service from this company that will help you. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Horrible

These computers are awful. I turned mine on and it’s so old and dusty, not what they promised. HDMI is damaged and the fan smells like cigarette smoke!

I would not recommend buying this refurbished computer... sent with a defective on button... Non stop issues turning the computer ON
